Porch House
"The Porch House has been a millennia in the making and it was worth every minute. Every nook and cranny of our extraordinary Porch House exuberates centuries-old character within its rustic stone walls. Embellished with twisting crooked staircases, roaring open fires, and low slung ceilings that are beamed with ancient timber. We’re sure our Inn could tell a tale or two if it could talk. Unfortunately, it can’t but we think our show-stopping dwelling with its dazzling decor, flavoursome fare, and abundance of tantalising tipples truly does speak for itself."

First visit to The Porch House for our 2 year anniversary meal. It was a wonderful experience start to finish. Delicious food we had Sunday roasts and very accommodating for vegetarians. Charlie in particular was fantastic helping with specifics of our order and then as a surprise for us arranged a happy anniversary pudding, so kind it made us feel very special and completed an anniversary meal perfectly! We will definitely be back to visit again soon. Thank you Charlie and the creative chefs at The Porch House.
From the moment we checked in, until the moment left was nothing more than amazing. Rachel the assistant manager was so friendly and an absolute dream, she made us feel very welcome. Breakfast was delicious and lovely Lisa who served us was an absolute darling, nothing was too much trouble. A big shout out to the cleaning lady who names I'm not sure of worked tirelessly to keep the beautiful old place looking exactly how it is, absolutely stunning. Thank you.Dave and Lorraine Roberts
Dined twice during a weekend break. Friday evenings service was excellent and we were seated in the historic main dining room which was lovely. Food was very good quality, the lemon meringue pie was one of the best desserts we've ever had. Sunday lunch was good food but the service was rushed and inconsistent. Despite it being my birthday and asking for a table in the main restaurant we were told we would be in the bar. They then managed to seat us in the conservatory which was fine. A bit disappointing that the 2 experiences weren't consistent, but still a nice place in a lovely location.
The whole decor and atmosphere is great but I wouldn’t eat here again, there’s many better options out there. Our waitress didn’t inform us that quite a few options on the menu were not available, so when we ordered she recommended the chateaubriand, which was quite pricy. We ordered it medium rare. What arrived was a tiny portion of meat, well-done. I would expect this for one person but certainly not for two people for over £60. Why she would recommend us a small portion of steak instead of the two that we were initially thinking of ordering I don’t know, but in our weekend in the area we ate better elsewhere.
Went for dinner with my partner last week, the decor was stunning! We were greeted as we walked through the door by Kostas the GM who was very friendly, tentative and polite. The drinks were on point and our food was to die for. Great experience, we will be back.
Decent food - but be careful, as a visitor it’s a bit fake - we booked into the restaurant famed for its age - and prices to match but we were sent into the new conservatory/children’s room. Still decent food but over priced and service was very average. There are better places to eat Stowe. Marked down due to misleading advertising.
JD and Mary Susan were amazing hosts! They went out of their way to make sure our daughters engagement party was amazing! The Porch House is a great spot for any get together. We fell in love with the whole property and the owners. This is a must see!
We arrived at the restaurant asking if there was room for two for dinner. Unfortunately, the receptionist not only ignored us but also spoke to us in a very bad way telling us to leave because they were not going to receive us. It would have been nice that in case of not having a place, he treated us with better manners. there are too many nice places in the area to insist. not worth it
Lunch time family visit whilst staying in a lodge in Evesham. The Porch House is a friendly and welcoming place. Our waitress was very helpful and friendly. The food was excellent. We had the fish and chips, tasty and portion just right.
The setting is fabulous and cosy and the waiting staff was very attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend the Porch House for the Sunday roast which is what I had. Unfortunately they were put of the vegan Wellington at 5pm sitting which is a shame as my teenage son was really looking forward to this.
