Awful service. Needed tiles to match what was already in my new build house. Gave the sales person my dimensions and showed photos of the walls & existing tiles so that I could buy the same to match. He under spec’d how many boxes I’d need and told me to buy 3. I questioned if four were needed and he assured me 3 was sufficient. I asked to buy 4 anyway and return any unused tiles but was told that I couldn’t return unused boxes to the shop, only to the warehouse - IN WATFORD - miles away. AND there would be a 20% restocking charge. NO OTHER TILE SELLERS RUN THIS RIDICULOUS POLICY So I took his advice and brought 3x boxes. Guess what - my tiler turns up - starts the job - 3 boxes is not enough - need a 4th box. Phone the Southampton store - “we don’t hold any stock here”. Seriously? They have a HUGE unit in millbtook but don’t hold ANY stock? “No Sir - we have no stock of any tiles you have to wait 4 days for the next delivery”. Well my tiler is here now and needs them today - “not possible sir - they have to come from Watford” OK can Watford send the tiles to me? “Yes but there is a £50 delivery charge even for a single box of tiles” So ok not going to win here - order the tiles. Thanks for nothing that’s just Cody me an extra day of time for my tiler. “Oh and sir your tiles have gone up in price from £40 a box to £75 a box” Seriously? So this company hold no stock, charge ridiculous restock and delivery fees, have overpriced tiles that shoot up in price when you need to reorder and cost me extra for the tradesman to have to postpone the job mid way and come back a week later to finish off. Basically this debacle has cost me an extra £200 because of their incompetence. Do yourself a favour - buy your tiles from Topps who hold stock at every store and are very happy to take back unused tiles for FULL refund Oh and their tiles are not ridiculously overpriced in the first place either…. PORCELANOSA - THE WORST COMPANY I HAVE DEALT WITH IN YEARS
Welcomed us in store. We looked around and chose a couple of tiles we liked. They didn't have any samples in store to take home, but let us take the sample from shop floor. To return next day. We ordered and was given a date of 6 weeks for delivery. They arrived on time and delivered on the date I request. Good Job and highly recommend.
Good service and communicative. Ewan ensured my second order in store collection, over the phone order was from the same tile batch as my first order, online this was thoughtful and professional as I hadn't thought to ask. In store service at collection was friendly and again, professional. The showroom is impressive with lots of great ideas and high quality and high priced goods. Porcelanosa pricing is very high and I would advise to wait for a sale before making a purchase. The prices seem disproportionately high given they are able to sell tiles and other goods at a 40% discount in regular sales. I would advise not paying full price and waiting for a sale, if you have the luxury of time on your side.
What a thoroughly helpful team who went out of their way to help me locate the Bathroom basin for my daughter’s home. The team arranged a swift transfer to the Southampton branch where I was able to pick it up on Easter Sunday - again, with a smiling and helpful assistant who cheerfully helped me load the rather large box into my car! An excellent team who gave me a first class service!!
Very happy with the service that we received at this store and lots of lovely tiles to choose from. We would definitely recommend this store and will certainly come back.
We met a young lady called Charlotte who was so incredibly helpful.. we live in north London so Watford was our closest store but our project is in sandbanks Poole so after a pretty poor visit to Watford we decided to give Southampton a try… wow what a difference… Charlotte was so helpful & emailed us with information that wasn’t updated in store at the time of our visit… we have now ordered our new sink and tap… thank you Charlotte.
Jessica was extremely helpful coordinating our order and delivery. Ewan was very quick to work with our drawings and estimate our tile needs. Great staff and really helpful!
The showroom and products within exceed the experience we have had. The woman that we dealt with had very few customer service skills. A lot of chasing by them to secure a deposit from us. Once done, no further contact unless initiated by us. At the outset we had informed her of the correct opening for the shower enclosure which was ignored and eventually we were told we had to change the bathroom layout to accommodate the fact that the incorrect shower door has been ordered. Ordered in Feb and still none of the other products have arrived. No emails or contact from the store when we raised our complaint some weeks ago. Poor customer care
It's a lovely showroom and products are beautiful but then they should be given the prices. However, went to look at some flooring: salesman said if they are on special offer we don't label that in the shop, so had to try to look it up on my phone. He also said not all samples would be there and started showing me a printed brochure. 11:30 on a Sunday and I was the only person in there and I didn't stay for long given that service. No wonder.
I have to say, extremely disappointed, particularly from a brand like Porcelanosa. Having spent £1,000s on tiles, pre lockdown, I finally took delivery of my tiles in June. My bathroom fitter was also delayed and I am currently having the bathroom fitted. I have been advised by my fitter this week that one box of floor tiles is missing, having checked the delivery note. When I contacted the store I was told that as I am outside 30 days I have to order again at my own cost! Whilst I accept some time as elapsed since delivery in June, it is not that easy to check what is on the pallet as there is almost one tonne 1000kgs of tiles and to unpack the goods prior to fitting would be some task! Besides which, i thought I could trust Porcelonsa that the order/delivery was correct! Given that covid has also had an impact on timescales for everyone, I was expecting a more understanding gesture of good will from a premium outlet, but it seems not. Tough lesson learned I guess but I have experienced much better service from other retailers and will take my business elsewhere in future.
