We 'popped in' as the café we planned to use was closed. Food was quick, freshly prepared and hot. Menu is reminiscent of a 1970's Wimpy restaurant... Service was pleasant and rapid. Order at the table and pay at the till. Vegetarian options: Very limited range of vegetarian options.
Stopped by for a late lunch and wasn't disappointed. Lovely cheese salad with a baked potato and a lovely cuppa.Food: 5/5
I've always loved Poppins have been going for over 20 years, however I've been in three times in as many months and it's been absolutely freezing in there, no heating on,people sat eating in their coats. The staff are probably warm enough in the kitchen cooking. I asked if it was possible to put the heating on and the staff member returned to the kitchen to ask the manager, he loudly said absolutely not, for regulars yes, but they're not regulars not sure what regular constitutes when you've been going for as long as we have. Plain rude. Also the menu never changes, so it gets abit boring having the same thing over and over, good in terms of you know what to expect, but if you are regular it does get monotonous. I've decided not to go back after the managers attitude, I did go once more but again it was cold in there with no heating so that's it now, never again

Have been in a few different poppins and found the staff did not care for the customer when are drinks arrived one was completely different from what we ordered the my food was not very hot so i won't be going backFood: 1/5

The food was quite good but the coffee I couldn’t drink at all. I’m a coffee drinker and have had coffee before here and was very nice but today I couldn’t drink it, terrible taste so took it to the counter to explain it wasn’t right, the guy just took it away , nothing said to me at all. I paid my bill coffee included and left, won’t be returning.

The food took a long time 25min to get to the table, when we asked eta for the food, they said they were busy hence the delay; the place was about 1/4 full. Portioning, was minimal. I would not recommend.Food: 3/5
Used it twice while we were in the area found it to be friendly and welcoming would recommend if your in the areaFood: 5/5
