Booked this place, purely by chance and I'm so glad I did.nNice, modern and upbeat venue which has been extensively renovated and a good range of beers and spirits available, in addition to hot drinks.nI visited with my dog for a Sunday lunch ,which was absolutely delicious and is priced at £16 for two courses, although the one main course is slightly cheaper.nThey even provided a dish of meat for my dog small charge which I thought was an excellent touch.nThe photo speaks volumes and I shall definitely be visiting here again.nThank you to the chef and staff who made my visit today superb.

Awesome food. I am very specific about my steak and they cooked it perfectly. The burgers are also awesome. There are good vegan and vegetarian choices. A lot of great beers including local craft beers. Staff and e really friendly, the music isn't too loud. I highly recommend.

Love this place!  We had the special this week - Macaroni cheese with lobster!  Lovely sharp, salty cheese with delicious sweet lobster pieces. It came with garlic bread and salad and was too big for me to finish. Great beers,  food and friendly staff.  A good night out.

Recommended by A Friend and completely blown away!nThis place is a hidden gem!nWe've been staying in pontyates for the last couple of weeks which is not too far from Burryport,nAfter a lovely walk we headed to Poppies for a Sunday Roast.nThe best Roast we've had outside of London and even then it would give some of our favourite restaurants a run for its money and at half the price.nVery casual, laid back atmosphere, happy attentive staff and food to die for,   presented well and all built up on a cauliflower cheese sauce,nThe Beef was insane,nOnly regret was not having a child's portion as then would have had room for dessert!

A lovely clean, modern, comfortable spacious venue with gorgeous food, super friendly staff and also a snooker room next to the dining area and function room upstairs.  The burger we had was delicious and the bun it was served in was just amazing.  They also have live music at the weekend and Sunday roasts!  Would recommend Poppies!
