So pleased with how the Castle has been turned into a great place to visit. With a play-area, cafe & visitors centre and lots of interesting historical information on the boards around. The main grassed area has some picnic tables on the beautiful lawn. You can see for miles around. Definitely worth a visit. I was really impressed! X
Brilliant day out. Take a picnic enjoy the views. The children's park there is also excellent along with the cafe.
Great visit. I was born in Pontefract I haven't been to the Castle for 20+ yrs and I was blown away with all the improvements. A brilliant place to visit
Really interesting Castle although there is not that much of the structure remaining. Very enjoyable walk round however.
Really well maintained, nice cafe and little kids play area.
Nothing interesting the ruins of the castle are not beautyful and they are few. Insteand it is an ideal picnic spot.great place for bring your children there is also an little Playground. Entrance is free parking is also free. I do not recommend for those want to see only the ruins so you have nothing to see in this place
