Lovely spot to have a take away drink from The Lugger Inn. Really peaceful location to watch the Fowey-Polruan ferry dock every 15 mins or so. A large amount of seating is available so you could bring food and buy drinks from the pub or both as they have a takeaway menu and collection point. Highly recommend on a lovely sunny evening.
Polruan is a quaint holiday village accessible by either one road in/out or by using the passenger ferry from Fowey.nThe Luggers pub serves good hearty pub fare and offers a takeaway service to. On several nights during the week they lay on entertainment in various formats.nThere is a fantastically stocked village store, bakery and cafe/takeaway. There is another pub set back from the quay.nTraffic is not encouraged in the village and there are two carparks at the top of a very steep hill.
The historic part of Cornwall associated with trade, shipbuilding and repair, and generally supplying supplies for people working at sea. The location of the marina was ideal due to its natural protection from the sea. Not only for those looking for historical places, but for those who want to feel the atmosphere of Cornwall.
The 2 stars are for the Jam First cafe apart from that the only good thing about Polruan is the ferry to Fowey. You can see it all in 45 minutes
Brilliant little harbour. Beach, slipway, pub and cafe, bakery and well stocked shop just up the road what more could you want?
