Been coming here for 25+ years with my parents and now my own family and never disappointed. Dog friendly, local produce, family owned, down to earth place with fantastic hot dishes and generous cold plates too! Panoramic views of the Lizard Peninsula. Just love coming here and will continue travelling the best part of 6 hours to do so. Photos are of cream tea, full English minus mushrooms and views. Parking: Small - but just right- amount of parking for free just outside the cafe, although perhaps not best for those with a fear of cliffs. Lizard Point is down a single track road so be careful coming up and down. You can also park at the lighthouse and other paid car park just further up.
A lovely location, perfect for a nice long walk then a spot of lunch. Service was great, friendly staff. The food tasted extremely fresh, with good sized portions. I definitely recommend coming here.Food: 5/5
One of the nicest, tastiest cafes I’ve been to. A cute little cafe on the most southern part of the UK what’s not to love? I had a burger and chips which was well cooked and was really quick. We had a great view of the Lizard point and were able to see cargo ships passing. Parking is a little tricky but if you park at the main car park at the top you will have no problem finding spaces. Keep it up guys!
We arrived around 4:30pm on a Sunday, and decided to have an early dinner since we anticipated most places to be closed by the time we hiked to Kynance Cove and back. From the Lizard Point parking lot, you'll have to walk down the trail to the cafe. The staff are very friendly and the service is excellent. We shared the seafood platter and a slice of carrot cake. The seafood platter is sufficient for one person, or as a starter for two persons. There were small prawns, crab, and crawfish or lobster, not sure alongside salad and buttered bread. I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for something light. The carrot cake was spot on as well. The view of Lizard Point from the outdoor seated area cannot be beat.
We had the most lovely food, the staff were great, and the views were breathtaking. The cherry on the cake with the staff who were so friendly and welcoming. I would have easily paid double, surprised it was so cheap. A must visit!
Such an amazing cafe/restaurant, shame it is so far away from where I live, otherwise would visit it regularly. - It has great view at the tip of the country. - Food was fresh, delicious and fish was from local neighbouring village we had Madley of Local Fish and Fish Pie - All staff was working so hard and professional, they especially Josie? were friendly and helpful with great food recommendations, even though it was a very busy time of day . - Food was delivered so quick. Highly recommended...
We make a pilgrimage here every time we come to Cornwall. Best cream teas with the best view in Cornwall. Dog friendly and they sell doggy ice cream too!Food: 5/5
We visited this place a couple of weeks ago after it was recommended by some friends and we were not disappointed. The weather was particularly kind that day so we were able to sit outside in the sunshine and enjoy the view what a beautiful location this is, and the added bonus of a seal that kept popping their head up above the water throughout our lunch was amazing to see. The meal we had was lovely, great portion sizes and the recommendation from the waitress really enhanced our dining experience the warm fresh doughnut with cream what we had actually came for did not disappoint. We’ll definitely be re-visiting when we travel down to Cornwall next.
I don’t really want to share my experience of this cafe in case everyone rushes there and there’s not room for us, but ….. it’s absolutely brilliant. We love it. Lucy is great and she and the staff do a really good job, with service being top notch. Friendly and efficient. Food is always great especially the breakfasts!! We’ve been going regularly since April and once we go home next week will look forward to when we come back to Cornwall next year and are able to go to the Polpeor again. Thank you all.
Outside seating behind the cafe has great views over the cove with seals playing in the water. Nice coffee and crumbly shortbread. Friendly staff and prompt service. Excellent.
