We missed the "car park" initially and think we ended up in a farmers yard sorry Mr farmer. Parked up in a little lay by at the side of the road, which appears to be the parking facilities for the area, there is another what looks like a little used lay by round the corner slightly, but after that I am not sure where you would park, it is a one lane road in many places. There is only room for around 4 cars in the main lay by. It was a nice walk with some beautiful views over some of the Fermanagh lakes, 7km walk on gravel paths the whole way round, reasonably steep gradient in places. Not suitable for prams unless you are pretty hard core and have one with large wheels.
Amazing cave. Waterfall would depend on how much rain there's been. Well worth a visit
The full walk is quite short, at only around 40 to 45 minutes, the cave and waterfall are class and the views at the top of the walk are outstanding.
Short walk to the cave which was beautiful! Bring a headtorch and be careful climbing over wooden fence! Do not venture farther than you should!! Would like to explore the forest as well when I get the chance. Noticed a big gravelled area near the cave. Wonder was this where Game Of Thrones Set kept all their crew vehicles and where the actors parked up. An exciting thought to imagine something so hectic as GOT production in such a remote location!
Loved this spot. So beautiful and not even a big walk to get to the cave. There are no toilet facilities since you are at a forest walk.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Great waterfall. It’s very remote so not worth driving a long distance to but if you are near Lough Erne it’s worth a visit
Great walk around Benmore Forest. Wanted to see cave because of Game of Thrones. Hideout for the Brothers without Banners.
Great spot for a short walk or longer if you wish to see a really nice waterfall and some nature.
Pollnagollum cave is only about 5 minutes walk from the Belmore forest carpark, so you don't have to do the 7km forest walk to see it. It's breathtaking to see the waterfall dropping into the cave after a few days of heavy rainfall. The flow was so fast that photos didn't do it justice.
Amazing, absolutely amazing. Went in the evening just as it was starting to get a bit dark, so nice and tranquill and slightly spooky and eerie if your on your own..a real wee gem.
