Is it acceptable that officers assult someone in the *public* foyer of your police station? Do some of your officers think they are above the law? It certainly seems that way, watching their behaviour ...
Stayed the night recently. The rooms are decorated in a minimalist style. Staff at the front desk were very professionalif not slightly blunt check in was swift and relatively painless. They weren't overly careful with my checked in items. Couldn't turn the aircon off in the room. The room service was awful. Asked for a cup of water and didn't arrive for 14hrs. Check out took longer than expected. Overall a cheap place to stay but wouldn't recommend
The Sargent at this station really needs to grow up. Said he was acting like a child when I'd caught him in a lie. Just for him to prove my point and hang up. Tried to lie about evidence in an on going complaint to cover for two very unprofessional officers. What a joke. God forbid you even need help from these incompetent children because you're better off dealing with it yourself
just witnessed a member of the public being assaulted by police at this station thanks to youtube for highlighting this criminal behaviour retraining needed for these officers of the LAW
Officers were quick and very helpful. They are more reliable than Luton police as they are lazy and incompetent to do any work. Its taking so much longer for my case to move forward. Overall, Essex police are the best in my opinion.
4 minutes just to get transferred to the 'Crime Bureau'. Then a message telling my they are busy and the wait is 15 minutes. You are told by message to report online. In this case obvious stolen, high powered motorbike dumped in alley in condistill goodtion. I was out for a walk when I came accross it. Not an emergency but if left could get re-stolen or damaged further. An hour and a half before I get home to a computer. I can imagine there is one or two civilian operators fielding these calls, overworked and backlogged.
Front desk staff very helpful but follow ups appalling... my husband and I made a harassment complaint... a follow up call 2 days later promised a home visit 4pm on a Saturday... no show by 4.40pm... chase up call revealed no trace of visit logged! My husband was told they would email the relevant staff member and they would call on the Sunday to re-schedule.... its now Sunday and 7.15pm NO CALL! Not impressed!
Almost impossible to actually talk to someone, was passed around 5 departments, then lost in a maze of automated voice machines that finish in dead ends. People wonder why 999 is wrongly used and it is of no surprise that crime stats are decreasing - it is almost impossible to report a crime in Southend!
Southend Police have been brilliant in looking after and looking out for my Daughter, since she reported the crime that happened to her Heartfelt Thanks especially for PC Melanie and PC Broady
This morning as a last resort I phoned the police from Holland to ask if an officer could go to the home of a friend who myself and several friends could not reach for almost a week because the phone and mobile were not working--'"off the hook"so to speak. We had previously tried sending flowers with a message to contact one of us, letters, calling Social Services, hospitals to inquire if she had been re-admitted etc. From the first moment of contact I was assisted by the kindest and most professional of staff..and I was just called back from the officer to tell me that all was well and the phone was broken..not just engaged. Our friend is a 74 year old widow who lives alone, recently released from hospital and very vulnerable. This act of kindness makes the Services in the UK second to none...thank you. From a very grateful expat in Holland... proud to be British!! M.van Trappe
