This vineyard is absolutely stunning. It’s impressive to see that Cornwall produces wines of such exceptional quality that can easily compete in the market. The vineyard is meticulously maintained, and the addition of an apple orchard enhances its charm. The shop and restaurant offer refreshing drinks, high-quality food, and excellent produce from the vineyard itself. I am delighted to have had the opportunity to visit this remarkable place and learn about the art of winemaking. The wine tasting was also absolutely amazing.
Second visit now to this lovely little vineyard and shop. Highly recommend the self guided tour around the orchard and vineyard which includes a wine tasting in the beautiful garden at the end!
We visited Polgoon for lunch and a tour - what a brilliant afternoon! Pizzas were exceptional... extremely tasty and well sized. The cafe has an excellent selection of local beers and ales, in addition to the wines made on site. Ed who served our drinks and was also the tour guide was brilliant... knowledgeable, enthusiastic and friendly in equal measure, and a huge asset to Polgoon. We learnt a lot about wine production in the UK and the history of this particular vineyard. We would definitely come back and will recommend to friends.
Fantastic tour this afternoon. Our host Bronwyn was very knowledgeable and her passion shone through. We were looked after from the minute we arrived, with our dog Margot being very welcomed with treats and fuss. Amazing location, fabulous wines, a must visit for anyone in the area. Support local! My Husband and I went here for a tour and got a pizza to share after. It was our wedding anniversary and the team really kindly gave us complementary fizz on arrival. The tour was so informative, we have been on a few other tours including abroad & this was by FAR the most informative that we have been on. There was clear passion and Knowledge not only about this vineyard but grape growing and wine in general. This followed with trialling 5 wines, this felt like a fantastic value tour. The food was also amazing, my husband is coeliac and was reassured that the kitchen area would be wiped down and a tray would be used for his pizza etc & he was absolutely fine after eating here, the bases aren't just a frozen one either! Would absolutely recommend people to visit here to learn and try some local wine. Really beautiful place and even more lovely people working here.
