Good little car park, and even better with EV charging available. It’s only 6 kW chargers, which is fairly slow, but it’s perfectly okay for a longer stay. It would be nice to see some 11 kW options added in the future, but that’s just me being picky – I’m genuinely grateful they have 6 kW charging at all. I managed to add 38 kWh over about 5 hours, which worked out okay
We always park here when going into the City. We like the fact that you don't pay until you leave, so if you're in Bath longer than you anticipated, you're not worried about getting a parking fine. It's not the cheapest parking, but it's fairly central. Spaces are limited, so if you arrive around lunchtime, you will probably have difficulty finding a space.
Arrived at the car park at 14:05 planning to use one of the EV charging bays. The Pod Point app showed two available, but all were occupied — with two cars parked and not even plugged in. Neither was charging, which defeats the purpose of dedicated EV bays.nnAs an EV driver, I couldn’t charge and had to wait around 10 minutes before finding a regular bay, which disrupted our plans. It’s really frustrating to see charging infrastructure misused like this. I also noticed another review mentioning the same issue, and that staff felt unable to do anything.nnNowhere I can file the complain so I can only leave the Google review here.
During my first visit to Bath centre yesterday evening, I was relieved to find a car park that didn't rely on me driving up and down the busy streets. The car park was clean, though I do appreciate that the entrance felt low driving in. I have a reasonably big family car, but found navigating the ramps manueverable, and there were signs reminding drivers to pull right to allow more space.nnThe only issue I had was the ticket system: I collected a paper ticket on arrival. I then paid on the machine when I was ready to leave £7.50 and took my ticket, expecting to need it for the barrier. I pressed the receipt button twice but the machine did not provide a paper receipt - the voiced instructions simply said I could now exit.nnHowever, once I finally found the 'vehicle exit' these signs could be much larger!, the barrier seemed to go up automatically. I tried inserting my ticket, but there was no obvious slot. Having a car behind me that was growing impatient, I drove through the open barrier. Now I'm worried I'll be fined, as I don't understand how the barrier recognized my vehicle - I didn't enter my registration number during payment as some ticket machines require. Hoping someone can reassure me here since I did pay for my stay.
Busy car park in centre of Bath under Double Tree Hilton hotel.. Fresh signage. Good number of Podpoint ev charging places. Only issue was lifts being out of order.
