Arrived at the car park at 14:05 planning to use one of the EV charging bays. The Pod Point app showed two available, but all were occupied — with two cars parked and not even plugged in. Neither was charging, which defeats the purpose of dedicated EV bays.nnAs an EV driver, I couldn’t charge and had to wait around 10 minutes before finding a regular bay, which disrupted our plans. It’s really frustrating to see charging infrastructure misused like this. I also noticed another review mentioning the same issue, and that staff felt unable to do anything.nnNowhere I can file the complain so I can only leave the Google review here.
Be prepared for a long wait to enter - this seems to be the only car park in the area, and space is quite limited, so it can’t accommodate many vehicles at once. I waited around 40 minutes just to get in.nThe entry barriers are a bit awkward. If you pull up too close to the scanner, the barrier might not open. I had to reverse slightly and press a flashing button multiple times before the barrier finally opened, all while the other line kept moving and someone else ended up taking what might have been my spot.nFrom what I gathered, the barriers won’t open at all if the car park is full, and there’s no visible sign or display outside to indicate this. A “car park full” sign or live space counter before the entry point would really help - especially since the entrance is single-lane and there’s no easy way to turn around.nThe parking fee is on the expensive side - £11 up to 6 hours I parked for 4.5hrs and paid £11 - which feels steep considering the setup and the fact there aren’t other options nearby. But at the end of the day, I was just relieved to have parked and put that stress behind me so I could enjoy exploring the area.
Been using this car park since the 70's.nVery convenient & justifies the charges.nLatest pay machine design had me foxed.nNeed to look at the two screens about a foot apart. Almost impossible when you are concentrating on one. Kind user behind helped with instructions. A ten year old would have had no problem ! Feeling my age but not unusual for Bath.nPrefer the reg recognition system which does most of the work for you.
Convenient car park right in the centre. Everything nearby is easily walkable to from this point. Large spaces suitable for any car. Prices are around what I would expect for a town centre. Would definitely recommend.
Kind of pricey compared to other places near Bath but always has spots and a great location if you are looking for an easy place to park in Bath.nnPaid £7.50 for a few hours in the evening.
