Such a great experience! If you are in Plymouth this is definitely and experience you wouldn’t want to miss out. Jerry is such a knowledgeable person and the amount of information he gives is incredible but never never never boring. Been there with a 12 years old and Jerry managed to have his attention at hold the time!
The light and the decor of this place bring a deep peace. Thank you community. For my visit Jerry’s talk was so interesting, engaging and fun. A must for everyone.
Beautiful synagogue with a fascinating history. If you can go on a tour email the caretaker, Jerry, I highly, highly recommend it. Jerry's tour is incredibly interesting and well-researched, and gives an excellent overview of not only the history of Plymouth and the Jews who lived there, but Jewish life in England during different periods. If you are in the area, it is definitely worth a visit!
Excellent, informative tour of this beautiful shul. Thank you to the wonderful Jerry who really brought the history of the shul and the Jews of Plymouth to life. Simon and family
A big thank you to Gerry for our fantastic visit/tour today. You bring history alive with knowledge and charisma. The ladies of Newton Abbot WI
Really recommend booking a tour here. It's beautiful, amazing rich history intrinsically linked to Plymouth. You will learn so much!
Amazing experience for people of any religions and beliefs! You will absolutely love it! Jerry created a wonderful story connecting all the history dots between Plymouth and synagogue. You do not need to be a Jew to enjoy the tour - Jerry explains the interconnection between religions, the traditions and their meanings. I felt like in a Den Brown books - so many symbols to decipher, with hidden meaning, and Jerry researched them all! You will need to allocate around 3 hours for this amazing experience - you won’t notice how time flies!
Visited today with friends. Outside Jerry gave a very knowledgeable accy of the history of the area, the street and the building. Once inside he talked more about the interesting people associated with the synagogue. Jerry gave us some fascinating insights into Judaism and I personally would be keen to return .
A very nice synagogue with a very interesting history. It was one of only two houses on the street to survive the german fire bombing. Book a free tour easily 3 hours to learn all about it and how the city has grown around the synagogue. A visit is really recommended.
Jerry is fabulous guide, very knowledgeable. All the interesting facts about history and religion- he knows them all. Call before your visit and he will introduce you into fabulous world of Jewish culture. Highly recommended.
