It has always been a good pub, been refurbished and maintaining the top spot for Brackley. After 32 years it was likely our last drink and bite to eat, there might be returns who knows. They cater for gluten free food options so if you’re in the town, have a drink and some grub.
Booked Sunday lunch for 6 at 1:00pm, unfortunately they were very busy and ran short of food so servings were meagre and gravy thin as coloured water. But staff very friendly, atmosphere nice and beer excellent.

Just popped in for some a light bite. We were only able to order from the main menu rather than a sandwich etc. We decided to share a burger and the pub were very accommodating, served on 2 plates. Great burger, speedy service. We managed to get a table in the snug, but the pub was busy when we left, due to rugby showing.
After a walk through Brackley, I decided to stop for tea and cake. I came across The Plough restaurant and went inside.nThe interior is absolutely full of character and very atmospheric, decorated with details like old books and radios.nI ordered the Apple Crumble with vanilla ice cream and a tea. The dessert was delicious, and it made for a perfectly pleasant and relaxing break. The server who helped me was cheerful and smiling, which added to the great experience.nHighly recommended.
