All the staff were friendly and fun, there was one on the ice at all times and always made sure to attend to anyone who slipped or fell. The place had toilet facilities, a cafe and plenty of places to sit for spectators.nThe staff also resurfaced the ice during our visit to ensure health and safety standards were upheld. Would recommend going here, will defo go again +++ good price for the length of time as you can stay for as long as you want within the time slot you book
While touring different rinks round the country, we came here admittedly for the novelty after seeing the pillars in the ice. Usually as a family who are blessed to have an independent rink where we live when we see the words “Planet Ice” we groan. Previous experience of Planet Ice rinks has been dark, dirty, dated, expensive and full of grumpy staff.nnThis place however, is an absolute gem. We visited on Monday - only took note of the name of Chelsea who was working the kitchen but her excellent customer service was the rule rather than the exception.nnAll staff squirrelling away working hard, Zamboni came out to resurface the ice at appropriate points, staff happy and helpful. The rink is bright & clean, nice seating for spectators. Hot food and drinks served in addition to usual vending machines.nnAs an elite figure skater, are you going to be able to run a program here? No…there are posts in the middle of the ice. Does that mean you shouldn’t go? No! There was plenty of space, the whole vibe was chilled and cheerful. Especially if your local rink is one of the dark dingy rinks. Treat yourself to a positive atmosphere and have a little day trip here.nnMy two loved it & skating is life to them!
Real good fun, my daughter loved it. They place is big but not huge. It can get quite busy and packed. However, please be very careful cause after a while the rink gets quite wet which makes it dangerous. We saw two accidents, and one was quite bad they had to close the rink down during our session. So just be wary, lots of stuff to do around the area. A huge arcade and a few food places.
Visit mid week if you can. Ice isn’t great, boots are solid plastic and in extremely poor condition, gave me blisters on one ankle.nWould expect better equipment considering the price.nKids enjoyed it though and that’s the main thing.
The session was good. I skated on ice. However, the issue I had came before the session. I had a problem with my email and couldnt get my booking reference number. The screen you get after paying TOLD me to call the rink if I had any issues. I had an issue. So I called.nAfter listening to all the pre recorded ai voice stuff it said ‘press 0 to talk to a customer service agent’ so I pressed 0.nEIGHT TIMES the call was cut. The first seven times, the call was cut after 45 seconds every time. So I thought ‘ahh no one must be there, I’ll try one more time’nThey picked up at 23 seconds. I heard breathing. I said ‘hello?’nYou’ll never guess what? THEY HUNG UP. AGAIN!!nI wouldnt have been let in if I wasnt able to use the internet to solve my issue.nSo much for ‘your calls matter’ IT DIDNT FEEL LIKE IT DID.
