Pizzicotto

About

Pizzicotto Kensington is a wood fired bistro and pizzeria re-imagined for present day London; serving modern Italian cuisine, craft beers & aperitifs

Story

Inspired by the tradition of Italian neighbourhood haunts, Pizzicotto is the lively sister restaurant to the 50 year old Kensington gem ‘Il Portico’. A local Pizzeria and Osteria where the humble pizza & neighbourhood cuisine is reimagined & the tradition of cooking over wood is celebrated.

Like Il Portico there is heavy emphasis on the ‘Terra Madre’ of Emilia Romagna with a tight network of small scale & artisanal food producers from the region supplying the restaurant exclusively and directly. On any given day you can find organic charcuterie produced by the same family for over 235 years, rare breed & wild produce, unfiltered & artisanal beers, Chianina beef, & daily handmade pasta. Our Pizze are made exclusively with stone ground, organic flour from a mill from the Apennine mountains, & proofed for a full 72 hours ensuring a complex, light, and delectable base. All before wood firing at 400 degrees

Moved to the area a year ago and have not had italian food elsewhere since. Simply amazing food but what’s more is that the staff are the best! Welcoming, friendly and even after your first time they treat you like a regular. Highly recommend.
First Meal in London. Perfect Pizza. I highly recommend this place. Service is also super. Thank you for the great start in this weekend! We will come back for sure
Probably the best authentic pizza my wife and I have had. Food was amazing and we will for sure be back. Lovely family feel and staff are very attentive to all customers. If you are looking for a pizza restaurant make it this one.
Nice place with good selection of Italian food pasta and pizza. The pizza I had looked nice but wasn't served right after it came from the oven so it was a bit cold. Unfortunately even the plate was preheated so I was basically eating cold pizza. What a pity.
Came for the pizza and was quite disappointed. An over-abundance of tomato sauce and cheese made the dough simply too wet. It got soggy and eating soggy pizza is never a nice experience. Prices are rather steep, which does not help. A bit of redemption in the good ingredients and pasta.
Great food, up there with the best pizza ever. Both my husband and myself are vegetarians and we thoroughly enjoyed. The staff were lovely and squeezed us in. Will definitely go back.
Food was very good, high quality pizzas and service very friendly. Just a shame that the two dishes I first picked were already sold out that evening..! Next time!
If you fancy a truly authentic pizza this place won't let you down. Friendly and attentive service. I'd absolutely recommend this.
Absolutely loved the pizza. The pasta was good and tiramisu lovely.
