Lived down the road from here for years and this is my first time. Such a vibe, and really, really good antipasti, pasta and gelato. Loads of variety and all 6 of us at the table loved everything we ate. Really reasonably priced, too. £52 each and we had starters, a couple of bottles of sparkling red wine, a few Aperol Spritz and beers, pasta mains and desserts. All of it was amazing. Thank you!!
It used to be my partners go to spot but it seems the quality of food and service has decreased drastically.nMissimoif I spelled it correctly was are server for the Aresenal game on the Saturday vs PSG.nShe managed to spill a drink over some other customers but didn't remember to remove the drink from the bill.nWe also saw how she was being very chatty and trying to interact with the bigger group of customers , which was the birthday group.nWhen she came to us , we greeted her with smiles and trying to be nice but felt as if she didn't care with her non-chalant attitude behaviour towards us and the table she spilt the drink on.nnService was poor and unfortunately the pizza I got was swimming in oil or some type of liquid.nnWe will not be coming back again since other people we know, that would visit this restaurant have agreed that the food quality has decreased as well.nnIt was nice while it lasted.

Papa Gone has been my favourite Italian restaurant in London for over twenty years. I was first introduced to it through mutual friends and from that moment it has consistently exceeded expectations.nnThe food is eccellente…honest, uncompromising and rooted in genuine Italian tradition. Each dish reflects cucina vera, prepared with care, restraint and confidence, allowing quality ingredients to speak for themselves. This is not a place of pretence, but of substance.nnThe restaurant itself is modest and unembellished. One should arrive without expectations of luxury or modern aesthetics; the sole promise is that one will eat exceptionally well and that promise is unfailingly honoured. While investment in refurbishment could undoubtedly elevate the setting, it is by no means essential. Il locale è sempre pieno, a testament to its reputation and the loyalty of those who value authenticity over appearance.nnIn an age of over-designed dining concepts, Papa Gone remains refreshingly unchanged semplice, autentico, affidabile. It is a rare establishment where consistency, integrity and quality have prevailed for decades and for that it deserves the highest praise.nnUna vera gemma.
This place truly feels like our second home. Every time we leave church, we come here and they always make us feel like part of the family. The food is amazing and the atmosphere is fantastic. Highly recommended!
