Story

We are the Desiderio family founders of Pizzeria Bella Italia, Luisa and I (Michelle) are Tino and Barbaras two daughters.....

Mum and Dad started in business around thirty years ago, putting every penny they owned - and more - into a small premises they bought and turned it into Casa Mia (on the original Rock in bury). Wow... that took off ... after just a short few years it was apparent we needed to re-locate to larger premises. This is where Pizzeria Bella Italia was born. Of course yet again we extended 3 fold.

Over the years because of our success Dad has been reluctant to change anything, but Luisa and I have felt we needed to re-invent our internal decor, and on the back of that Salvatore Luisas husband is our head chef and he wanted to do the same to our menu too.. After oodles of persuasion Mum and Dad said yes to both.... Yikes!!! now its our turn to show what we are made of and come of age...

Visited here for my birthday meal on Sunday. I used to visit here a lot several years ago. When I was looking for a venue that worked for everyone attending, location wise. I thought of here. Food and service was absolutely amazing and everyone has been talking about it since. One friend said she will be recommending it to her other friends. I definitely will not leave it as long before I visit again. Thank you so much for a wonderful birthday meal.
Working my way through the extensive and varied menu. Pizzeria Bella Italia never disappoints. Even if you can't eat pasta there is something for everyone. My favourite starter is their garlic mushrooms....omg so divine!!! Who'd of thought how delicious the humble mushroom can be when cooked the way Bella does. I can't fault the food, quality, staff, atmosphere and magic of this lovely restaurant in Bury. It is popular with all age groups and families as well as couples. I had mussels in garlic and white wine. The veg is al dente and beautiful. I always look forward to dining here as the food and staff make you feel at home and always welcoming. Kid-friendliness: Popular with families and room for large groups.
Absolutely fantastic as always! We have been visiting since I was a child and now bringing my daughter for her second birthday in a row her choice Fabulous food, staff and atmosphere and a special mention to Pascal our "best man ever in the world" Food: 5/5
Loved it. From the starters to the mains the food was brilliant. I am often in Rome and the food was very good here which was a pleasant surprise.. the only criticism is that the pizza bases could have been cooked a bit longer, slightly doughy but everything else wonderful. Service great too and very reasonably priced!
A first visit today on a friend's strong recommendation. I chose the cannelloni from the varied and interesting menu. It was delicious, probably the best Italian restaurant meal I have ever had. Followed by a dessert of whopping big profiteroles with a scrumptious chocolate sauce. Staff friendly and helpful. Already looking forward to another visit
Had a wonderful dinner with my girlfriend here. Food was really delicious. Ordered some mussels and a garlic bread for starters, a risotto and pizza as our main. Can't forget how good they are. Caters are so nice and we really enjoy the night. Cheers.Food: 5/5
A pretty dreadful experience all in all. Service was surly and inefficient. Food last lustre at best. Very disappointing. The only reason we didn’t complain was that we were being treated by our family. Won’t be returning.Food: 2/5

A great family-run, family-friendly restaurant, caters well for large get-togethers and celebrations. The menu is wide and varied with a good mix of reliable Italian staples and fine dining options. The service is excellent, with many long-serving wait-staff; the hospitality and warm welcome is a highlight. They are exceptionally good at noting and catering to dietary requirements. I often takeaway their very competitive pasta/pizza deal.
