My husband and I have visited this Pizza Express numerous times now, usually on a Thursday, as we know we’re guaranteed a lovely meal & enjoyable time. I’ve also visited a few times along with other family, where the staff are always really engaging with my young niece & nephew. Special mention to Ellie & Tom who are always none stop when it’s busy and go out of their way to have a bit craic with us, along with the chefs who continue to deliver really tasty food. I find many complaints with restaurants now tend to be based on long waiting times… have a bit of patience & enjoy the company you’re with instead of focusing on how long it takes for your food! You’ll soon find it’ll be in front of you before you know it. A lot of people seem to lack patience when it comes to hospitality post covid & moan on for the sake of it. Can 100% recommend this place - they’re doing their best and we love it!
We booked and arrived 1 hour and 25 minutes before our movie. Perhaps half full downstairs. Lots of staff but a lot of chatting and not much service going on. Drinks ordered and received fairly quickly but 2 pizzas and a calzone took a long time to arrive. Incidentally my German nephew was astonished he could not order a pizza with salami on. Sweet menu arrived but no one came to take our order and our waitress was nowhere to be seen so we caught another waitress and placed order. 1 of 3 items wasn't available then we watched her take an age to simply put 4 scoops of ice-cream in 2 bowls then forget the ice-cream on the 3rd sweet. Lot's of fiddling with order machine going on. Just made our film but £65 lighter for 3 mediocre pizzas, some ice cream, one other sweet, 2 soft drinks and a coffee. Would not recommend. Very expensive for mediocre food not delivered very quickly.
Pizzas were burnt around the edges and service was v v slow. Starter came within 10 minutes and was about 40 mins wait for mains. Staff looked disorganised and it was less than half full.
Serving staff good although waiting time for food was ridiculous, 50 minutes after ordering garlic bread and doughballs is far too long to wait for starters, I work in hospitality too and know this is not acceptable, food when arrived was fine, pizzas good pasta OK, hopefully this was just an off day, will maybe try again.
Staff were nice and pleasant , the amount of food you get here for the extortionate prices is nothing short of a joke along with the amount they charge for extra toppings when all you get is 4 extra pieces of topping for just under 3 quid, food was average nothing special, typical cut throat robbing restaurant chain, also the app is terrible and just makes you wanna say it doesn’t matter when it comes to deals or discounts . Won’t be returning. And then they give a fake email address in the reply that keeps getting a postmaster failure when you email them, such a classy outfit.
2 stars is simply for the waitress who was as helpful as she could be. Food was awful, when we arrived the resturant wasn't even half full yet we waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive. Garlic bread was burnt, kids pizza didn't even look cooked. Other 2 pizzas we ordered were left half eaten. Absolute waste of time and money. We asked were our order was and it did arrive quickly after that. Plus they did take the garlic bread off the bill but we still paid over £50 for an awful meal. Won't be returning

Food was lovely and the waiter Joseph was so helpful and friendly, gave fantastic recommendations for food. Would come again.
Stopped for lunch on the way north food was spot on, restaurant was clean and the waitresses were very helpful, the app stopped working so could not be used the staff couldn't help enough so big shout out to them, I just hope pizza express customer get back to me as I've heard nothing in 3 day's bit the restaurant is worth a visit
the food was delicious, the waiter Joseph was very helpful and gave us great recommendations for the food, will be back soon
