Charming harbour with a working fishing fleet, stoutly built pier with a small lighthouse, and a collection of attractive waterfront buildings.nThere's lots to do in the area, including St Fillan's Cave on Cove Wynd, walking the Fife Coastal Path to St Monans or Anstruther, and a selection of shops, cafés and restaurants and a fish and chip shop nearby.nPittenweem has a history of industry, with coal and salt trade prominent sources of income in the 1700s. Today fishing and tourism are the town's main trades. The harbour is home to the East Neuk's last commercial fishing fleet. Like many of the coastal towns and villages on the East Neuk, Pittenweem retains an authentic character that makes it very appealing.nThere's plenty of parking available in town, and public toilets near the harbour.
A lovely little fishing harbour with great cafes, restaurants and shops. Also some good walking trails with fantastic views.
It's peaceful here. Just sit on a bench, listen to the sea and watch boats coming in. And maybe spot a seal too. Some shops and, of course, a fish and chip shop. Public toilets are free.
Lovely small harbour with some nice walks and places to eat.
Well worth a visit today it was a beautiful sunny day,nExcellent walking around the harbour.
