I'm from Wales, this park is one of the most beautiful places I've been to. We spent all day here just walking round, children playing in the parks. The peafowl/peacock sanctuary was nice, lovely to see that they were allowed to roam around the park. The glass buildings were cool, seeing the different types of plants and fish. If i come back to Fife this park is definitely on my list to visit again. The parking was free.
A great place to have a good 2hr wander. Loads to see and the wild life is tame. Squirrels a plenty. The play areas look good for kids. The car park is free at the time of writing. Thoroughly pleasant area.
New to the area and never really explored the park properly. It's beautiful! Lovingly looked after with so much space . Perfect for young and old or for just walking in the sunshine . Also met a few locals...the peacocks
What a gorgeous park! We are staying locally and enjoyed a walk around this lovely spot upon our arrival in Dunfermline. Loads of hidden paths on the lower levels and lovely paths along the water.
Visited Dunfermline for the first time, and spent an afternoon walking around this huge park. Lots to see with different areas, woodlands, formal flower beds, a glen with a stream running through, large lawned areas, children's playgrounds and some glasshouses. Grey squirrels can be seen all over the park, and are relatively tame. There's also a restaurant named after the peacocks which have freedom to wander. The park was gifted to Dunfermline for the benefit of it's people by Andrew Carnegie who was born here. There are excellent views over the River Forth, and the Queensferry bridges can be seen in the distance.
Lovely park area and inclusive of wheelchair children. A shame about the part with the sensory area with the lady bird as this wasn't working. Big grounds to explore and lovely green house plants and garden outside. I like how the bigger end playgrounds interlink.
Such a lovely park to wander around. The hot house is always nice to take a short trip into aswell, to see what is blooming at different times of the year. The paths are mostly flat and you can use a powered wheelchair around the park easily enough. They are also fairly wide so passing by groups of people when taking your dog is fairly easy, and most people are smart enough to keep their dogs on leads. It's a shame they don't keep the toilets open though, or at least have the disabled bathroom radar accessible. Luckily we visited at a time when the cafe was open. Restrooms: Public restroom available, but not open at all times. Dog-friendliness: Most people are smart enough to keep their dogs on lead around the park.
Absolutely beautiful space, brilliant for everyone from families, couples picnicking, groups of friends chilling or exploring and solo contemplative wanders. Lovely cafe, playpark, gardens, secluded den and of course, peacocks.
A beautiful park for a walk, rich in history, Plenty of open space and alot to see. Lovely gardens. Suitable for all ages. The children's play area is huge. Loved the fact that it is inclusive and separated per age. Lots of activities for the kiddies.
Lovely park with plenty to see. Great park for kids and easy access to the town centre. Loads of nice strolls and sites. Bring some monkey nuts and the squirrels will take them from your hand if you know where to go.
