I enjoy a walk around the grounds. The gardens themselves are better a bit later in the season when all the bedding plants are in bloom. The farming museum is interesting lical history although not entirely acurate with the name or description of some of the items (unless this has been updated after we told them of their errors) The tea room is small but the baking is lovely.

In my opinion, there's no 'bad time' to go to Pitmedden Garden, something for everyone from the beautiful garden, interesting museum and country walks to the pleasant tasty café...

The gardens and museums are great, always something beautiful to see. Orchards with apple trees of different varieties, pears, damsons, all of which they use to make produce for sale in the gift shop and tea room. There's also bee hives, and information points around the place. Different kinds of roses and flowers, and a herb garden. There's a resident cat named Ben, who is always checking things out. Strangely, some of the things in the gift shop are cheaper than the food in the tearoom!
