Pitlochry Station Bookshop sells donated books for charity. It is run by volunteers and supported by Scotrail's Adopt-a-Station scheme.
Pitlochry Station Bookshop was founded in 2005 to raise money for charity by selling donated books cheaply. ScotRail provided the accommodation free to encourage the use of empty station property.
In the past decade, the Bookshop has thrived and raised £160,000 from selling second-hand books at £1 each. Because there is no rental to pay and all the staff are volunteers, almost all the money goes to the six charities which the Bookshop supports.
