We visited the cafe with our whole family on Monday, 22 December 2025 - and what a great find it turned out to be!nnAbsolutely brilliant place! Extremely tasty, traditional fish & chips - perfectly cooked fish that just melts in your mouth, and chips fried to perfection in fresh oil. Fresh salads, great sides and very good ice cream as well nnHuge praise for the staff - incredibly helpful, patient and friendly, from the lovely waitresses to the gentleman behind the counter. We really appreciate how positive and understanding the whole team was, especially as we're not native English speakers - they made us feel completely comfortable and welcome.nnOverall, a very positive experience and definitely a place worth visiting when in Ayr.nOne small suggestion for improvement: the hot dogs could use a bit more work, but that's a tiny detail compared to how good everything else is.nnHighly recommended - we'll definitely be back next time we're visiting our relatives in Scotland!
Ideal soft play for young children. Has everything for a fun few hours. Food is good and an extensive menu on offer. Great fresh coffee and ice creams too. Staff are friendly and helpful even when it gets super busy and chaotic. There are 2 floors, upstairs, a bit calmer. Busy and noisy but still enjoyable even on a bank holiday.
Outrageously expensive, especially when compared with Kids Play in Prestwick, 2 miles away. £24 for two children to play for 2 hours is iniquitous and I shan't be returning at those over-inflated prices. The food is also rather on the expensive side. Go to Kids Play Prestwick instead.
Came here today big play area free parking outside and on the Promenade. £6 for 2 hours play good value there's an American theme diner inside some items on the menu looked expensive but there is meal and entrance deals. definitely worth a visit if your in Ayr big play area outside to
Soft play area Is fantastic for all ages , we use to go every year both of my sons have autism but was very disappointed in the boss! I explained to him that my oldest son has autism, he has no understanding of what it means by age appropriate for certain parts of play areas! I was with my son at all times! The man was very harsh towards me with no compassion whatsoever, even the parents felt sorry for me and couldn’t believe the way he treated me son, and yes i do know that there is signs there for a reason as my youngest son was aware of the signs! but because my oldest son who has complex needs and no understanding of signs what so ever , the boss should have some kind of compassion And understanding! I never had any bother before in pirate Pete’s before as I did always explain to staff members and they werenvery good! food was very expensive £6 for two slices of toast! Quite disappointed I don’t think I’ll go back!
