Excellent customer service, my first time here even though its close to where I live. I'm big on service first, so that's a 5 star for me, food came earlier than I was told as well. I enjoyed the mixed grill I ordered. Would be returning soon.
I enjoyed my visit to Pipe Major. Food was lovely, got a cavary. The food was hot and all tasted fresh. Also got a waffle, normally comes with ice cream but was nice of them to swape it with custard as not a fan of ice cream and did'nt want it to go to waste. Great value for money as well. Staff were very nice to use. It was clean and tidy and the staff had a laugh with us. I got a Captin Morgan and coke for £7.50, which was a little out of my budget but their soft drinks are at a good price. Great parking spaces and a outside area for kids to play. Overall a good experience.
We had a lovely lunch, 9 of us in total including two young children. Most of us ate off of the main menu & 3 of us had the Carvery. All enjoyed our food. Great value. Little play area outside for the kids. Great service, lovely friendly lady serving is & doing the bar. We will come again & would recommend.
Went to the Pipe Major on Sunday. Despite being busy and not having booked a table, we sat at a reasonable time. The young man behind the bar was accommodating and made our experience more enjoyable unfortunately we did not get his name; he was able to answer all our questions about our dishes without hesitation and made an excellent recommendation for dessert. Our waitress Elise was terrific and so funny. An all-around 10 out of 10 experience.
We were a large party of 11 with one member requiring gluten free. The menu offered lots of options & the gluten free menu was extensive. The 2 ladies who served us were polite, friendly and extremely helpful. They ensured that all our orders went through together & the whole party were served at the same time. I would recommend the Pipe Major & we are hoping to return in April.
We came for the carvery as we do every couple of months. Occasionally it is disappointing sometimes beef can be very chewy or service for dessert has been slow but mainly we enjoy it. Our visit on 10/4 was very enjoyable and everything was to our satisfaction. We had a lovely carvery with tender meat my only complaint was no parsnips and delicious potatoes and vegetables. Followed by dessert which was served very promptly. Staff were welcoming and friendly.
This is our work get away, started coming here lunch times and after work then invited the family over for The Carvery. Service is excellent and above some bigger restaurants, the staff are so welcoming, friendly and so polite. The food is 10/10. Go there and enjoy yourself.
Our waitress was super friendly, helpful and professional. She said she was new but I wouldn't have known. We had a party of 18 and managed very well with all our orders, esp as it was busy as well. She was brilliant. On the receipt it says her name was Courtney. 5 stars!!!!
The carvery was superb when it first opened but I feel it has gone downhill recently. Twice the beef has been like leather, but came last night and had a rib and wings starter from the menu followed by a steak and it was superb! Drinks on the expensive side but will come for a menu dinner again but that beef needs to improve on the carvery.
Pipe Major is the best Marstons Pub I have ever been to. Excellent food, staff, atmosphere, prices, cleanliness, love this Pub. The best roast anywhere, and I eat out a lot. The price absolutely fantastic value for money. Staff couldn't be nicer, pleasant, helpful and you feel so welcomed. Thank you to you all
