Story

We are a small, homegrown business making beautiful shortbread from the best ingredients! Our shortbread is the perfect gift for friends and family (or for yourself!). Going to a dinner party and need something for the host? Need a sweet little birthday treat for someone special? Well, you've come to the right place! Our shortbread is great for wedding favours, bridal showers, baby showers and parties. Our gorgeous Pinnies are handmade with fabulous fabrics so each one is different and unique - Pinnies for adults and our Mini Pinnies for littles ones. If you want to feel sassy in the kitchen, this is how!

Amazing shortbread cookies, we simply had to try them after reading so many reviews about this place. Soft, crumbly, sweet and nice subtle flavours.
The delightful smell of shortbread in the making is heavenly. I walked past the shop and the smell drew me in. I bought 8, one of each flavour then 3 of the more classic flavours. I wasn't a huge fan of lavender so that might explain why that one was left but I devoured the others hence no photos and they were exceptional, much better than the boxed stuff. If I'm back in Edinburgh I will be getting these and if I can't wait until my next trip, I'll be ordering online.
We loved this shop! The shortbread flavor options are amazing. We were headed back to the US the next day so we asked the owner to pack 4 small boxes for us to bring back for gifts. The shortbread made it home in excellent condition and still fresh , the receipients loved them and enjoyed a small taste of Scotland! Definitely a must visit!
I'm not a big shortbread fan but this place is making me a convert. It's all open plan so you can see and more importantly smell the fresh baking as soon as you walk in. The shortbread is extremely buttery and smooth and very easy to eat. Would also highly recommend the marshmallows which are unlike anything I've ever tried and just melt in the mouth.
I LOVE the biscuits here. Only shortbread shop in Edinburgh. The moment you walk in, the smell is divine because all baking takes place on premises in full view of customers. These need to be available in London!
Lovely, little shop that looks like somebody's home kitchen. The reason to come here is shortbread, and that is reason enough. The freshly baked shortbread is amazing and available in five flavours at a time. The ladies at the shop are super friendly and don't pressure you to buy. The wonderful smell of butter and sweet heaven is more than enough to make you want buy all the flavours. Give in to temptation, it's so worth it!!
We were passing by and suddenly smelled the great smell coming out of this small shop. We immediately entered to find an amazing store with super tasty and good looking cookies and brownies. It addition the lady who worked there was also amazingly welcoming and friendly. The food was so good that we actually came back the next day to enjoy it again!
This small bakery makes some of the most delicious shortbread I've ever had. Do yourself a favor and get some to enjoy while visiting Edinburgh. I can highly recommend the chocolate hazelnut!
I love this place.. not only does it smell divine as soon as you walk in but the treats inside are all amazing, as well as all handmade on premise. The flavours available are always changing but I've tried just about all of them and they're all delicious. My favourite are the millionaire's shortbread truffles, shortbread and caramel rolled in chocolate and coconut, how do you say no?!?
Very nice short bread, but it must be said it is overpriced when you consider how much it costs in the shops when you can get 4 shortbread cookies from a supermarket for £1.30
