First time here today and will definitely not be our last, great range of things to do for toddlers which is amazing! I find with a lot of soft plays they’re mostly for older kids and there’s a tiny little section for the younger ones but my 1 year old was kept busy for the whole 2 hours. Amazing selection of coffees, food and cakes my kinder cookie was to die for! can’t wait to return next week
We have always enjoyed the original at Winlaton and are regular visitors. Over the moon the second space recently opened is now just 5 mins from our home! We’ll be visiting a lot. The space blew me away this morning on our first visit. It is absolutely gorgeous! Huge well done to everyone involved - you should be very proud. This is a much needed play hub in Birtley and I wish you every success with it. The play space is a great size for the number able to book when full, which I believe it was today. Our little one was able to use everything and nothing felt overcrowded with good space to move around. The design of the space is well thought out, has so much to keep children entertained and just a gorgeous space to spend 2 hours which absolutely flew over. There is also a space opposite where babies and younger children can play which was also lovely with toys, books, blocks, sensory bits, blankets and a relaxing wooden structure with pillows for little ones to enjoy some time out and look at books. It is really great that no matter which table you choose you have a view of the play areas, meaning you can enjoy a coffee and sweet treat always delicious whilst older ones play freely and you can relax knowing the main entrance has a gate that locks. It all feels very open, bright, super clean and although busy it still had a sense of calm. Great menu for hot drinks, cold and iced drinks, food and children’s menu. The food we had was delicious and the coffee is amazing. The staff are all lovely, engaging with children and parents, helpful and doing a great job. Look forward to seeing any new additions over time and coming back with our little one. They absolutely loved it, as did we.
The company lets far too many children in for the size of the play area. I would not recommend this play area for smaller children aged 1-2. They are just trampled on by older children in the extremely small play.nnAlso I recommend for you to cover your window ledges . A hard round edge in all of your climbing apparatus is a major hazard, especially when you have several children trying to climb over each other. All the equipment is too small for an adult to accompany their child. Therefore when an accident does occur, it’s extremely difficult to go help.
Parties are very expensive and staff do nothing to make it special! No interactions no music! You’d expect more for the price! Over £350 for a basic party is ridiculous. Would have been cheaper just paying for the kids into normal play and buying food. Such a shame!
Great place for younger children. My daughter is almost 4 and I found she got a bit bored and I had to entertain her which defeats the object nAmazing facilities and very nice to look at with modern fixtures. 2 bigger slides and one little one. Soft play area with sensory tiles inside which were great. Plenty baby changing tables and 2 toilets. They had a selection of baby clothes which were cute. Large seating area with food and drinks served. We ordered a latte. jackot potato which wasn't too grand salad was past it's best. They had a large selection of biscuits and cakes which all looked amazing.nOver all good just not great for an almost 4 year old and food wasn't great hence 4 star.nDefinitely great place for babies and toddlers.nFriendly staff.
