Easily the best value golf I've ever played. I payed £20 and got all 18 holes in. Beautiful tree lined course. Evergreen trees all round so still looks a1 in this winter time. The front 9 is not quite as good as the back 9 but its a really enjoyable golf course and nice complex with driving range and bar etc. Not a particularly hard course off the yellows but enjoyable. Cannot recommend this place enough, it's awesome. A small gripe I had with the course, and it's tiny, is the exposed tree roots on a few of the walkways and walks away from teeboxes etc are a pain to roll over with your golf trolley.
A lovely setting but in need of serious investment. The greens today were terrible, it was pot luck putting. I would expect to see reduced rates when they are this bad but it wasn't even highlighted to our society in the lead up to our event. I spoke to the manager, and she was lovely, as were all the staff but the course standard has slipped massively. Shame on you Crown Golf, dont destroy such a nice venue. Update following owners response: The owner response states that 3 greens, clearly the pictures show more and I didn't take any pictures of the issues on the front 9. 3 might be really bad but most were poor. I'm fully aware that grass struggles to grow, the reason for 2 stars isn't just the quality of the course, it's actually more about the management and communication of this. A simple compmunication about issues with the green prior to the event would have gone a long way, and a price reduction should have happened. Instead you hit back at me on your reply with incorrect info, top job Crown Golf!!
First time playing Pine Ridge today @ £44 each - unfortunately I have to give this a 2 star The GREENS are a massive part of golf and these are by far the worst I’ve ever played. Every green was overloaded with sand and in very poor condition, After speaking with the guy on the first tee he said this is done for summer…. The layout of the course is great, but the bunkers & greens let it down.
Pine Ridge is a beautiful course, which offers a challenge for golfers of all levels. The staff are very friendly and very helpful! The events held here are great and offer something for everyone. The night golf events are great fun and offer a unique challenge and fun experience! Food provided too before heading out is great. Definitely recommend the course and its facilities!
Great setting with a number of interesting/challenging holes, all-in-all pretty decent course. Fairways can be narrow at times and they should have been watered more. Some of the greens are a bit too sandy. Bar/terrace/food/driving range Toptracer are decent too. Toptracer does need re-calibration though as it's showing significantly more distance than reality. Definitely one to revisit.
Super facilities in the club house, enjoyed bacon roll before game and lunch afterwards. Very nice. Course in very good nick winter '22. Greens very tidy and in excellent condition. Fairways varied but always at least good. Super scenery with tall pine trees. Tee boxes were pretty good, a few tees on the fairways due to works happening. Excellent company and I won 3 & 2 against a guy with 15 shots on me!
What a superb pay and play course. Greens and tee boxes were immaculate, fairways excellent too. Being a solo golfer I was paired with Paul member and we shared a great front 9. Highly recommended
The range is a good with heaters and top tracer but the range balls are very poor. Some are so worn out they don’t even have dimples anymore so don’t fly properly. Also they only sell 100 ball baskets. If you want a quick warm up that’s far too many and a waste at £11. Should have 25 and 50 quantities too. I’ll probably go back but only when they have new balls on the range.
The green is well maintained. Each course has different lay outs and there arent many bunkers and water hazards. I had so much fun I didnt get bored of playing while I was there.
Me and my wife we're lucky enough to have not one but TWO weddings at Pine Ridge thanks to Covid Hanna, Tom and all the staff at Pine Ridge have had exceptional patience with us thoughout the many reschedules and changes we had! The two weddings we had a smaller legal ceremony and a larger wedding blessing were perfect and Pine Ridge attended to our every need on the days. We would definitely hold an event here again in the future. I might even take up golf!
