Lovely cafe with friendly staff and excellent food. The chip bap we had was HUGE and the Victoria sponge was also superb. Make sure you ask for it with ice cream! : The mint chic chip had HUGE chunks of chocolate. Highly recommended!
A wonderful warm and cosy cafe providing tasty and filling food and drinks. After a refreshing walk along the beach or across the rocks, this is the perfect place to rest and recuperate. It's well worth a trip to Penmon at ANY time of the year. Certainly recommend the Breakfast Burger, available through the day. Delicious and filling.
Very handy for a cup coffee snacks etc because of its location to the beach and car park . And a Toilet available for customer use only Looking around the garden I felt it was in need of a little tender love and care unfortunately.. only my humble opinion
Toll to get to the cafe but no parking fee once there and beachside location has to be one of the best on the island for views. Prices not cheap but it was a good pizza cooked well.
Second visit, and just as excellent the second time around. Lovely little cafe with some indoor, and lots of outdoor, seating. Tasty food of the pizza, nachos and burger variety. Daughter had a milkshake and said it was delicious. Everything was delicious actually. Dog and children friendly. Reviews complaining about the toll: this is nothing to do with the cafe. Cafe is highly recommended. Vegetarian options: Good range of vegetarian options, and great pizza bases too. Parking: Plenty of parking either side of the track.
The visit to the pilot house cafe was the highlight of the visit to penmon point, the food was amazing and incredible value for money. The burgers in the picture being no more than £13 each is absolutely amazing value and the quality matches the value for money, amazing. Vegetarian options: Seriously impressive considering the size of the cafe.
Drove down in the motorhome which was interesting. Beautiful views and sat inside next to the log burner. Very nice although the price for all day was £12.50 and we didn't stay very long and if we where still there in the morning another £12.50 so beware. This was nothing to do with the cafe but its like a toll road from the old monastery. Can recommend the cafe tho. Dog friendly too.
Stumbled across the Pilot House Cafe after a 90 minute walk with family, including baby and 4 dogs, most in the rain. I was absolutely soaked. Welcoming log fire and decor, had a really good atmosphere, friendly staff, we enjoyed coffee, hot chocolate, scones and cakes. We also went back for breakfast after checking out at accommodation, on our last day. Great food, granddaughter ordered full breakfast, she couldn’t eat it all, eyes bigger that her belly! Wonderful location.
Good food. Had to pay a £3.50 road toll to get to it though. Great views onto the sea.
