Nice food, service was a bit iffy at times but could have been because they were quite busy.
We had mushroom garlic as starters, very delicious that we ordered extra bread as well. Very good risotto and linguine. The cheescake and tiramisu were so good. Defo recommend coming here.
Arrived without booking, but we’re quickly found a table for five. Great atmosphere, great staff & friendly/efficient service - the pasta dishes fantastic! Well done Team
Quick service to begin with but changed dramatically after the main. Desert was ordered but unfortunately we were forgotten about. After patiently waiting we decided to ask for the bill without dessert. Prices on the menu were slightly different to what was on the receipt also. Very disappointed.
Last month I had a pizza at a well known chain pizza restaurant, it was a disappointment. So yesterday I decided to try an independent one. So much better, better pizza, very much better pasta, better setting and service. At the end even a better price. No going back, Piero's was very good.Food: 5/5
Stopped for lunch with my wife and newborn daughter. Seated right away, sort of stuck in a corner due to our push chair, fair enough. We had a starter, main and a lovely bottle of wine. The garlic bread was nice, the pasta mains were very nice and generously portioned. The issue comes with the service. Not long after being seated, one of the gentlemen working that afternoon came to the table next to ours and began setting it up for a party of 4. He suddenly turned to us and said, "you're going to have to move your push chair out of the way of this table". Plot twist: it wasn't in the way. He asked that we move it away from our table. I asked what he suggested we do with our 10 week old baby, he said something about a high chair. I think he could tell by the look on my wife's face, that that was a ridiculous suggestion. He was gruff and somewhat rude. He didn't really offer any helpful options, just said we needed to make room for him. I'll cut this short to say that we have been to Piero's several times in the past, prior to having a child, and always enjoyed it. The impression we now have is that they would rather we not frequent their restaurant as a party of 3, as they don't seem very child friendly. No worries. We won't. LPT: your restaurant makes money from happy customers, not rude staff. You got our money this time, you won't again.
Ordered a chicken tikka pizza, with added chilli. It arrived with some small piles of plain chicken, and no chilli. When asked, the manager shrugged and brought us some chilli oil which had no heat. So now it's an oily heat-free, chilli-free pizza. Manager not bothered, charged full price even though we complained, and left half the pizza. Lousy customer service; expensive; mediocre food. Avoid.
Love this authentic Italian! Amazing food and great, friendly service. Unfortunately they don't cater for allergy sufferers or vegans so I did struggle to find something without dairy. No vegan cheese or cream alternatives available. I do think they need to update their options for a wider choice as more people have allergies now or are vegan. Veggie options only. Overall though its a great place and the garlic olives are just amazing!
TL DR; Food was ok but not for a 2 hour 30 minute total wait time for 2 people. It was busy and the groups seemed to have been favoured more than the couples What we ordered: 2 large glasses of Tosari Rosato ordered 30 minutes after we sat down 30 minutes after that we ordered 2x Bruchetta which came 30 minutes afterwards 1 Calzone Fiorentina which came 1 hour afterwards 1 Linguine Alla Busera And then just trying to flag them down was ... A challenge. We get that it was busy but to wait that long for food that we had heard so many good things about without a word of how long it would take or any updates... It left us wondering what people were raving about. We understand Covid-19 is about and it makes it harder for them to operate. If you're a local, great because they seem to know the locals. Otherwise I'd avoid coming here if it's busy. Wasn't a good experience for us. We were looking forward to dessert as well.
Wonderful little find. Great food and service, traditional Italian fare and very reasonably priced. Can't imagine why you'd choose to go over the road for a burger instead.
