Booked for lunch. Only a couple more tables with diners so no atmosphere and upstairs closed. Two things we wanted were not available - on a Saturday! Very overpriced at £9 for a salad which was mainly lettuce or a sandwich with dry white bread. A bit grubby and tired.Food: 2/5
Visited Saturday morning for the first time, nice coffee but very expensive toasted currant teacake, actually not a teacake but a small bap for £3.20. Actual teacakes classification should be between 6 and 10 inches in diameter and not three!! One mouthful and gone!! Disappointed.
A huge thank you to Rob and his team for agreeing to supply afternoon tea for my dads 80th birthday last Friday during lockdown, even though they are not open at the moment. The food was delicious as you can see and it made my dads day. Good luck when you finally reopen, you've gained a super fan! Sally. :
Excellent food and service. We often stop hear. Nice place for a coffee or a mealFood: 5/5
Love this place. Meet every week with a large group of friends. Always a table reserved for us. Staff even know our drink orders too!!! Have also had a delicious Sunday lunch and have attended their monthly jazz sessions.
Server today was very rude, walked in and she immediately said ‘we’re full sorry’ even though there were 2 tables free it was just a matter of shuffling a chair, so rude. Went to cafe 9 and they immediately accommodated and found space for us. Won’t be returning to picklesService: 1/5
A quirky coffee events house at the top of Baildon. Relaxed atmosphere with jazz background music. Coffee was nice and hot. It does a selection of food which you order off the menu. Worth a visit if your in the area.
Lovely staff, great coffee, and amazing biscuits. The lady serving us was very friendly and polite, couldn’t do more to serve us. Please start selling the biscuits
Service was friendly and menu looked good but the execution was poor. We ordered flat whites which were just huge, hot, foamy, weak coffees. I wonder what I'd have got if I ordered a cappuccino, or a latte? Exactly the same I'm guessing. The lady at the till was telling the chef how'to make our food as we ordered it which didn't inspire confidence. Vegan muffin was poor. Bread: dry, veggie sausages under cooked and the rest, bland. We gave it to our dogs. Redeeming point was the croque Monsieur which was ok.
When reading this remember Pickles have no USP and there are other eateries in a small location…never have stamp cards…and the owner of the business have told staff NOT to at least note a visit in order to be customer centric and provide the one stamp per visit…not even be drink and such, like other cafes in the immediate area…staff stand chatting loudly when customers are waiting to be served…far, far too long…servings are not of a similar size…a tip here, if you are wishing to sell the bus be encourage your staff to be more customer centric or you will not be encouraging any buyer…
