Excellent facilities that allow us to store what we need to and have 24-hour access. Invoiced on a monthly basis, via email, and when we have paid, they email a receipt. It proved to be a real God-send and makes our life so much easier.
We worked with Pickfords to help empty our building of 26+ years of 'stuff' and decide what to keep in storage. The storage facility itself is very high quality and the team make it easy to come and go as we need to. We worked with David Smith in setting up our unit and he has repeatedly gone above and beyond to help us move/store what we need. We couldn't be happier with the service we've received. Highly recommended.
Great team who are so helpful were able to walk my through estimating what volume of storage I'd need, based on a few uncertain descriptions of what I had, and their recommendation was bang on! Nicely maintained storage facility that was an easy to use and a great experience all around - used twice now as a student and wholeheartedly recommend to others in York.
Excellent service from David, from initial enquiry right through to helping move items to storage. Very helpful customer-focussed handling of enquiry to ensure we had what we needed. Paperwork all in place easily, and nothing has been too much trouble. Super helpful to have flexibility for small vanloads to be taken when they were ready - not something I've seen offered by other self-stores which is a definite selling point for using Pickfords. Would highly recommend to others and have done so already.
Mike Wilding was super helpful! He went out of his way to personally help us get our stuff in the rooms safely by assisting us - wonderful dude! I would highly recommend this storage unit facility - outstanding customer service!
Do yourself a favour and save your money. get 20 boxes and tape from direct global trading for the same price as 2 boxes and 40m of bubble wrap. Money also goes towards the salvation army so if you'd like to support a charity that is against progressive movements while getting ripped off this is the place for your moving supplies.
Been using the facility for over a year now and just cleared my unit. Staff very friendly and helpful throughout the period. The facility is getting a bit tired now compared to some I’ve used, but convenience of being in the city centre outweighed this factor. Would recommend and would definitely use again

Excellent service. Both Mike and Hanna were extremely helpful in providing me with the storage I needed as well as being very quick and efficient in the process - highly recommended!
Just vacated unit after 7 months. Staff were very friendly and helpful, from getting the quote, all the way through. All charges confirmed upfront and no surprises. Being closed on Sundays is a little inconvenient.
