I'm wondering which folding bike I should buy. This store has a very large selection and a very good seller and craftsman. I really liked the environment in the store. There you can not just buy a bike, but also get service. Today I received very useful information from the master and decided that I would buy a Brompton. Unfortunately, you cannot buy a bike in the store using some kind of credit program and this is the only negative that I saw
Have taken my Brompton in here a couple of times for repairs, which were done very well and for a reasonable price. A few reviews mention the owner's customer service style - he is quite no-nonsense, but I think that's because a he knows what he's talking about and b he will tell you what you need to know about the condition of your bike. Which surely is preferable to getting some customer-is-always-right robot ...?
Excellent service! I’m thrilled with the service and repair my Brompton needed. After a good 5 year hammering my Brompton needed more than just TLC!!! Her gears change smoothly, the pedals are smooth and over all she performs so much better. Thanks to Phoenix Cycles! Super value for money as well! See you again in 6 months
Poor costumer service, I brought my bicycle there for a gear issue twice within a month ps bought there and just wanted to making sure when collected that the bike was fixed. The owner started to arguing with no reason, felt very uncomfortable as I just wanted to understand what was the issues but some how he wanted to keep it magic. I understand the owner is ready to deserved pension, please retire and have a good life instead of mistreating buyers that feeds you. With all the respect duo
Knowledgeable and detailed Brompton service - better than I got at the Brompton Junction! Took my Brompton in for a full service, and very pleased with the results. He fixed a few annoying small issues other places couldn't, and left my bike super clean too. A little expensive, but on a par with other certified Brompton service centres. I personally found the staff to be friendly - but I'm paying them to fix my bike, not have a chat with me anyway!
Poor customer service. I took my Brompton bicycle once for service and regretted it as they didn’t fix the punctures the first time and instead of just apologising and fixing the issue when I brought back the bicycle the manager started arguing. This is not a good way to deal with clients. I have been taking my Brompton to another service provider since then and couldn’t be happier with the customer care that I am getting there
What a high quality, fast and brilliant service from Phoenix cycles who replaced my old Brompton rear wheel -seven spokes were broken!- with an excellent reconditioned one. The price was very reasonable considering all the skillful work, new hub, cabling , new chain and sprockets etc that had to be done. I needed a new rear wheel since the spokes for my Brompton probably 20 years old now are no longer available. Well done Phoenix!
Mike has over 30 years of experience with Bromptons, and treats each bike he sees as if it were his own. High professional values at very competitive rates - easily the best bike shop in London.
Not just a shop, an institution. The deepest expertise and attention to detail. Brompton is lucky to have independent dealers like Mike. Leave some extra time to appreciate his sardonic humour and pithy insights into life’s many absurdities.
The servicing seems second to none, it's a shame about when you want to purchase a Brompton though. I called beforehand to check it was ok to check them out. I arrived in store and the vibe I got from the staff was like I was bothering them. I enquired about an electric Brompton and the woman scoffed ? at me wanting one. I've never ridden a Brompton before, so was hoping they'd give me more information. I left with as much as I entered. They didn't seem to care that I was trying to buy a £3k bike and didn't seem too fussed about trying to get a non-black colour in stock. 3 stars as they were alright about me cycling the demo, let me have a ride around the park on it and showed me the different bags they sell. Sadly something about the experience just rubbed me the wrong way.
