I went in to get flea and worm treatment for my dog not me. When I mentioned that I had these things on repeat order but hadn't received them for 2 months the assistant Megan got in touch with the department responsible and got me a refund plus set up a new repeat order. Thank you very much Megan you couldn't have been more helpful and you certainly knew your stuff well done!
In my review, I would like to make it clear that what I will be talking about is nothing short of animal abuse. I have heard from friends and family that Pets at Home Fort Kinniard have previously housed rabbits in enclosures meant for smaller animals, such as guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, and mice. But now I have seen this with my own eyes, and I was brought to tears. According to the Scottish Government and their Rabbit Welfare Guidance, which is a part of the Animal Health and Welfare Scotland Act 2006, 'the minimum total area required for two average-sized rabbits is 10ft 3m × 6ft 180cm × 3ft 90cm high'. This Act also states that rabbits should be able to 'exercise freely'. This poor rabbit, which I met, whose name is Sugar, is/was not being housed in appropriate conditions, and this is appalling. Surely, a shop that sells and cares for animals and animal products should know that it is abusive and neglectful to keep a rabbit in such conditions. And even if they are unaware of the guidelines which would be unlikely considering they house and care for animals, I think that it takes some common sense and a good heart to look at that rabbit and realise that this is cruel. How are the public supposed to learn to treat rabbits correctly and safely if a large chain of shops such as Pets at Home can't even treat them well? Again, this is shocking and abusive treatment, which should never have happened and should never happen again. Lastly, I have attached some photos of poor Sugar and their housing.
The store is good and well equipped.. however, if you need help from a member of staff at the fish, be prepared.. you will age a year or two before you manage to get someone.
Had lots of help today getting a harness which fitted our dog today. The assistant was very patient as it took trying on several different types.
Good selection, friendly staff. Has a decent sized reptile section near the back, as well as reptile adoption area.
I've not been since I had my GSD who passed away 4 years ago. I was impressed at how clean & tidy it was! Staff that I spoke to were so helpful!
Nipped in here for supplies when we got a new puppy. They had everything we needed, the staff were very helpful and showed us how to get 20 % of our first purchase download the app A good shop for all your pets needs
Visited store today and needed some advice on my fishtank. Helped by a guy with longish hair in a bun sorry didnt catch your name and recieved great advice and support. Then at checkout helped out massively by Donald, very cheery and informative dude. Really good experience overall!
Great place to get all you need for your pets necessities. I like their policies regarding the well-being of pets.
The people in the shop are super friendly and helpful. Can do with better stock of treats and food. My pup and I enjoy our trips to it.
