Very disappointed with Pertemps and I didn’t feel like I was a valued member of the work force. I was placed at a company in Hereford by Pertemps. I told pertemps I had forklift truck training coming up before I accepted the job and I would need a day off to do the training. Pertemps never told the company I would not be in work that day so I ended up getting a phone call asking why I’m not in work whilst I was in the middle of training. Also, I got on the minibus which was provided by Pertemps to go to work one morning but the minibus driver turned around and brought everyone back due to icy road conditions. Pertemps refused to pay anyone even though we got up at 3am to go to work and got on the minibus to go to work. I spoke to the chap in charge of us at Pertemps but he basically didn’t care. He won’t even pay a few quid for us trying to get into work. We got on the bus. It was the bus driver who decided it wasn’t safe to continue. I had a conversation with the company in Hereford and they told me if I want to go and work for them again next Christmas, go with another company, not Pertemps. They were having problems with communication from Pertemps and seemed to be getting fed up with it. Also, I got a text message offering overtime on a Sunday, double pay with a £50 bonus for going in. Next I get a text saying it’s cancelled. The company in Hereford said it was cancelled for Pertemps because the other agencies had responded to their request where as Pertemps hadn’t. Also, when I emailed my notice in saying I was leaving, Pertemps never replied to let me know they had received it and also never told the company in Hereford I was leaving either. When I told the company I was leaving, they phoned Pertemps and asked ‘did you know he’s leaving?’ And Pertemps replied ‘yes, I know.’ I am very disappointed with Pertemps and would not recommend working for them.

Not bad. If u will need help and will talk with them about it...they should help you immediately. If gonna be the world war the last agency I will meet is Pertemps.

Incredibly poor service. I telephoned and left a message for Sam Mendes to call me back plus sent my CV via email, and 9 days later I still hadn't received a response. I called only to be told he hadn't received my email, no mention of why he hadn't had the common courtesy to return my call and he tried to fob me off with 'my email must be in his junk mail'. Needless to say, I chose not to deal with an agency with such poor standards!
