Had a brilliant time here, accommodation was really good, right in the middle of the course. The people were really friendly and helpful, course was in great condition. They really looked after us , highly recommended. The Fran Maguire guys.
Great reception and wow, what a course. Very hilly and plenty of blind tee shots so get a course guide. Don’t be disappointed if you lose a couple of balls but the course itself and the views are amazing. We played in high winds which made it all the more enjoyable for us, links golf at its best.
Beautiful course with great views. The course itself is a unique and amazing challenge with lots of blind shots guided by posts. That combined with the course guide we navigated the course easily. The undulations made for a great challenge in terms of golf and driving the buggy. There quite a few raised greens which were running very fast. The pro gave us a very warm welcome and detailed description of the course etc. He also automatically gave us £10 off each due to hollow tyning and sanding on the green however they still were perfectly acceptable. This is a must play course it's amazing and accompanied by great views. I will visit again for sure!
A fantastic welcome from the golf pro. He was very accommodating and gave us a great insight/guide around. He automatically provided us with a discount due to hollow tuning and sand on the green but they were still in great condition. The wind was blowing like crazy but the course was amazing as well as the views. It justifies being the number 2 course in Cornwall. Well worth a visit and I will be coming back! There a lot of blind shots with your aim guided by white and black posts. That along with a course guide and you can easily navigate the course. You will stand in amazement and question and how and where you will decide to play your shot. It's truly a thinking Golfers course. The course was hard baked and running fast. The greens were fast but receptive.
What a true and pure links course! Love it!
Firstly I can't comment on the food or drinks as I was short on time. As for the course I have numerous observations. 1 It's tough. If you don't like blind shots or hills then its best avoided. I lost count of the number of blind shots required from both Tee and fairway! 2 If you cant drive/hit straight then bring lots of balls or send a friend ahead to spot for all the blind shots. 3 If its windy double up on point 2. Stray shots are often difficult to find in the Heather/Brambles and long grass. 4 The greens were good. Undulating and tricky pace but receptive. 5 It has great views of the town, cliffs, sea and beach. 6 There is only one water hazard! But a few reveted bunkers to collect your ball. Would I recommend it? Yes, but only if you are playing with a group or are of a fair standard... Not for a novice.
Fantastic golf course Great club phenomenal views, all the staff were so welcoming especially the waitress and Pro 8 lads together, that good we cancelled the course we were going to play the next day and played again. Food was pub style but superb quality, recommend the fish n chips We are going back next year. Thank you for a great time
Lovely course and clubhouse. Friendly staff and great food. All round nice place to be. Snooker table was a nice touch too. Would recommend
Fantastic links course if Carlsberg did a links course :-D . Well worth a visit if you are coming to Cornwall. Staff are lovely and friendly
Excellant golf course with great greens and lovely vista's down into Perrenporth.Nice people of the course. Quite hilly front nine, I took a buggy. The course is difficult for a first timer, blind tee shots etc but that does not detract from the fact it is a cracking golf course. Need to play in a four for ball spotting purposes, would I play again, only with two or three people not as a single.
