Story

Peppercorn is a large specialist cookshop which was established in 1987. It is located in King Street Llandeilo, a small country town in West Wales, 15 miles from Carmarthen and 25 miles from Swansea. The shop occupies a Grade 2 listed building of great character and charm. Many of the original fixtures and fittings dating from the late 1800's and early 1900's remain from when the business was an ironmongers, and these help to make this extremely well-stocked shop a fascinating place to visit.

Peppercorn has been our favourite kitchen shop for many years. The quality of their products and service is excellent and their online facility means we can buy from them whenever we choose.

Now this is a special place, a family run business for 30 years just passing on to the next generation. They stock everything needed for the preparation and consumption of good food. Product quality and choice is exceptional so the shop is ideal for hobby cooks to serious chefs and everything in between, perfect too for finding wonderful gifts. I particularly love the engagement of the owners who are, understandably, keen cooks themselves so will always make really good recommendations based on their own experience of their stock. There is nowhere quite like it and I have never found better. I travel 200 miles to visit this shop and have been going for 20 years.

Not very impressed. I didn't receive my order, seven days after it being placed.  And when I enquired on the phone they didn't seem bothered at all. Even though it clearly stated on the confirmation e.mail that my order was being dispatched. Order was duly cancelled.

Another Aladdin's cave. Wonderful selection of cookware, crockery etc. The proprietors are very knowledgeable and friendly. A tremendous shop.

Excellent customer service! I ordered a specialist knife which was lost by the courier in transit - the store immediately arranged for a 48 hour expedited delivery of a replacement and it arrived safely packaged with a kind note apologising for the inconvenience. Really impressed with my experience.
