My wife and I were hiking the South Coast trail when we realized that our hiking gear needed a good wash (the smell was indescribable). Our B&B was in Porthcurno, so we took the A1 bus into Penzance, exited at Market Jew near Alberton, and walked less than ten minutes to the Penzance Launderette. The proprietress and her son were very helpful and friendly. Coast hikers: the W100 washer can handle your performance gear (liquid detergent, please!) as well as tents, which can be re-treated. Highly recommended.

Good sized laundrette and seems to be at the "cheaper" end of self service laundry. 6 dryers and 7 washing machines, all different sizes. Washers from 7.5kg up to 18kg. All machines only take the new £1 coins and there is no change machine onsite. These two reasons are why I haven't given this a 5 star rating. Dryers take the new £1 coins or 20p pieces. It does get busy, I had to wait to use a dryer. I visited on a Saturday so I can't comment on the helpfulness of the staff. There is some on street parking around, 1 space for laundrette customers otherwise there are a couple of public car parks around, as previous reviews have mentioned. Plenty of reading material to pass the time and wifi.

Good News! before the winter all the tumble driers have been fully serviced. Any problems with the machines contact the launderette

Great service, washed several duvets for me with no hassle. Most reliable laundrette in the area and a nice environment to wait for laundry in!

Not a bad place to do your washing and drying but a bit pricey £4.50 for a small washer but gets very clean
