Absolutely beautiful place with so much to do. The play area is outstanding for all ages and the surrounding walks are stunning. So many free roaming birds, lakes, rivers, bridges and woodland. Could easily spend days here and not get through everything! I thought the entry price was good value considering the amount of upkeep it would need. We didn't use the cafe as the queues were very long but bought a picnic. A lovely, family day out.
It's a lovely place to visit and although the admission charge is quite high, you do feel as though you get value for money and that you are making a difference and helping to preserve nature! You get to see some stunning wildlife from the numerous hides. Kids will love the playgrounds. Great little cafe too!
A great day out for all the family. The play areas are great for the kids and the wetland wildlife areas are really lovely. The food at the cafe is top quality and caters for everyone. Good vegan options and cracking chips.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Beautiful place, better in the summer when in full bloom. The only downside is its fairly expensive at £15 for an adult. Especially when you compare it to national trust etc but I do understand that it pays the upkeep of a very special placeVisited onPublic holidayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNot sure

Fabulous place to relax, chill and learn about all the wonderful animals around the lakes and woods. Website great too, lots of things going on throughout the year. Halloween was a theme yesterday, learnt so much as so much information about. Cafe very nice too
Arrived at 10 and dragged the children away just before closing. We loved searching for all the beast and beak clues, the beautiful wetlands and both play areas. 2 happy parents and 2 happy children. All with the bonus of the gardener's world magazine reduction.
Really nice to walk round for young children and adults. You can buy bird food to feed the ducks. Café not very exciting for lunch but the cakes looked good. Beautiful setting.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Disabled parking! Parking is free to all. Sit in or take out cafe! 2 disabled toilets. Plenty of picnic benches and areas to sit down whilst taking in the gardens and nature surrounding you, lots of birds to spot! Admission charge to get in, carer goes free take ID there are plenty of wheelchair friendly trails and viewing huts! It's a sizeable place. The geese and ducks come very close. One decided to take a pew whilst we had a picnic but wasn't pestering! There is a big adventure playground for all abilities and an indoor play area for kids to burn off some energy as well!
We love Pensthorpe! A really great indoor play area, a fantastic outdoor play area...and that's just for the kids!!! We love the walks, the wildlife, the talks, the flamingos... and the cafe is pretty good too! Great family day out!
