Well i only went for a hospital appointment.nBUT JUST FOR YOU- I KEPT MY EYES OPEN.nThe hospital is adequate in relation to the size of Penrith, amongst other things it has an Urgent Medical Centre, and a Maternity Unit. There is also a Day Unit.nnAcross the road is a H&M Store.nI walked into town and out of the corner of my eye I noticed Sainsbury'snnWhen I got to Penrith Town Centre there were A LOT of INDEPENDENT SMALL SHOPS, of all descriptions, which when you think about it, makes Penrith worth a visit.nIf you're thinking of buying a house, there are plenty of Building Societies and Estate Agents, not to mention a few Banks.nBE AWARE Penrith is on the Northern edge of the Lake District, so House Prices are NOT CHEAP.nPenrith has both a Bus Station, and Railway Station which is on the WCML.nOutside the Railway Station is Penrith Castle,nbuilt by Lady Anne Clifford, a Powerful family from centuries past.nIf I remember, and don't quote me on this but when I was in Penrith a couple of years ago, there was a McDonald's next to the Station, as well.nnWell folks, I went for my appointment the other day, but as I said I KEPT MY EYES OPEN JUST FOR YOU
I've been to Penrith and I would rather fight for them in the war than the likes of Barrow in Furness. Penrith folk are a bit posh and they've never seen a proper fight but I'd rather stand by them wearing their uniform of expensive brand walking gear that they don't even go walking in rather than those Barrow lot who wear mucky vests and tracksuit bottoms.
Outstanding service. Vital for the community and very lucky to have it. Can’t recommend it enough. Work, trips to Keswick, hillwalking everything.
