Slightly worn in places but otherwise a rly pretty, pleasant station
Pretty train station, it's got lovely views, and it looks quite quaint. But that's all it is, really. Pretty. There are no inside seating areas, with the only areas being a metal shelter an benches on one side, and a covered area on the other side. But when I was here between 4 and 6PM there were no warm seating areas, and it's FREEZING outside. The whole station feels like their only thoughts were looking good on paper, as it's very accessible and beautiful, but the benches are quite small, and it's freezing cold. Even the lights took their sweet time to turn on. The staff are approachable and trains pass here fairly often, so at least you won't need to hang around this frigid station.
Many units to let town centre dyer
No toilet facilities on this busy local station, not even disabled toilets. RTI screens normally working. Staff are helpful. Car park always full by 0930, though there is always plenty of disabled parking available. Lift access to both platforms. Ticket machines on both platforms to. Car park attendant works mornings
Annoyed at the fact that I missed my train as the car park assistant decided to have a conversation with driver of a car in front of me hence blocking the entrance.
It's a few minutes walk from the town and shopping centre of Sutton Coldfield but the station does its job well enough. Trains here are frequent to Birmingham and Redditch and both platforms have step free access and a car park. Station looks quite nice as well.
Decent amount of parking but it's usually full by 9am on a weekday. Little shop on platform 2, nice pub just next to it. Ticket machines on platforms.
I really wish they would rebuild this station on the side which was damaged by the train accident all those years ago. It would make the place such a lovely place to wait.
Good access via train to Birmingham and Lichfield and many more places the station is 2 minutes from town ideal location and not normally very busy
A nice station with helpful staff. Easy access to the town centre, approx 5 mins walk.
