Olde fashioned pub but so friendly. Felt really welcome. Decent prices. They do food on the premises to although we found this out a little late. The menu looked nice and i heard that the beef casserole is very nice
Great find. Based on previous reviews had the caserole, wasn't disappointed. Proper pub, friendly staff, good beer, what's not to like? Hopefully we will get the chance to visit again before holiday finishes.
Absolutely gorgeous little old village style pub. Lovely old beams, slate floors, some wonderful history on the walls. Prices are very reasonable in an age where everything is becoming unaffordable. Food is proper pub food, good portions with a matching price. Recommend this for a proper piece of wales to be visited. The beer garden has some great scenery surrounding too. The staff are friendly as are the locals too. They also welcome dogs in the garden and bar area
Great food, typical ambience and nice people!!! Very important: dog friendly!!
Beef slices as a Sunday roast. Burned black sausage and bacon. Charged full price, even with beef slices. Will not eat here again
We stopped here during our holiday, quote late for lunch, with dog whole raining. The staff couldn't have done more, sorted us 3 meals, dog could sit with us, they made us feel very welcome, as did the locals. Wonderful little pub, outside seating, great food, keeps a good pint too.
How lucky were we to find this gem of a pub!! Very friendly and welcoming, along with wonderful home cooked meals. My husband had beef, mushroom and horseradish casserole. So tasty and melted in your mouth. I went for homemade lasagne, delicious. We shared a bread and butter pudding for dessert, which again was wonderful. If we're in the area again we will definitely be back for more.
I highly recommend coming here, the food was lovely and all the people in the bar including the bar staff were very friendly!
This is a lovely pub. After a long drive from Birmingham myself, my wife and my 6 month old son just wanted a drink and some home made grub obv my son didn’t, this place delivered and some. Staff were brilliant and really friendly. Shame it’s not local to us because we’d be in there a lot. If your reading this guys, thanks for making us feel so welcome, see you around. Love, Joe, Em and baby Tom.
Lovely little pub… friendly staff & locals alike
