As a disabled away fan, I was particularly disappointed with my visit to Salford City FC.nnThe facilities and accessibility provisions for visiting supporters were extremely poor and felt like an afterthought. The photos attached show the restricted view from the area were I was placed which felt like I was cattle being herded and it’s almost impossible to see large parts of the pitch when seated in a mobility scooter.nnThe only alternative offered was to sit at the opposite end of the ground, in the home supporters’ disabled section. That meant being completely separated from my friends, family, and fellow away supporters — which takes away a huge part of the matchday experience and atmosphere.nnFor a modern football club, this setup feels outdated and unfair. Disabled fans should be able to enjoy the same view, atmosphere, and inclusion as everyone else. I hope Salford City seriously reviews and improves its accessibility arrangements for away supporters in the near future.
My son and I visited the Peninsula Stadium to watch the League Two match between Salford City and Crewe Alexandra. We had a fantastic time! The stadium may be small, but it’s clean, quiet, and very well-organized. The area around the stadium is full of lovely houses, and the whole environment felt safe and welcoming.nnWhat really stood out to us was how friendly and polite everyone was. All the people around us were locals, and they treated us with genuine warmth and respect. It felt like we were part of the community.nnWatching League Two football is a unique experience—very different from the Premier League. Here, you feel closer to the action and to the people. You see the real citizens, the everyday fans, and the true spirit of English football.nnWe really enjoyed the match and the whole atmosphere. If you ever get the chance, I highly recommend coming to see a League Two game. It’s an experience you won’t forget!
The ground is nice on the inside and outside but the toilets are in shipping containers, my shed is bigger than the club shop and the stand has holes in the back of it. Even though it was only a friendly it was a poor turnout from the 200-300 Salford fans.
On my stadium ground tour of has many stadium s has possible I stepped up to try Salford city a nice walk out of Manchester City centre a delightful fresh Thursday afternoon stroll which when I got there the I seen a lady in the club ticket office were I asked for permission also explained what I was doing she was very helpful n polite I believe Deborah which led to me wanting to purchase something so a pleasant experience of my first trip there i hope to call back for a game in the near future.
