The service I’ve received from Penicuik Medical practice has been brilliant. The staff are very skilled and compassionate too. I’ve never had a problem getting an appointment if I phone at 8.30am. Follow the correct procedure and they’ll call you back. Can’t speak highly enough of the practice. Feel very lucky to be a patient here. Thank you for all your support.
At last, we are back to face to face doctoring. Called at 08:30 Monday, was second in the queue and got an appointment at 09:45 same day. Doctor Reid was thorough and reassuring in his diagnosis. This personal touch has healing properties, even if purely psychological. Great job NHS and worth more investment from Government.
Excellent Practice! Called at 8.30am and was 29th in the queue. Then asked by the automated service 'would you like to stay on the line or have a call back?' I opted for call back and was called 10 mins later and an appointment for later that day. Dr Tulloch was fantastic, hadn't met him before but what an asset to the practice.nI always get an appoointment, my repeat prescriptions are always filled and all staff are nothing but polite and helpful.
I moved to this practice last summer and now wished I hadn't bothered, one problem after another. Today's phone call just put the nail in the coffin for me, I phoned yet again regarding my rescue pack for copd only to be told that I would not be getting my amoxicillin as requested as I'd never had it, now that's a lie my last prescription from previous practice was amoxicillin and I can even give you the dispensing date 15 June 2024, and I still have the box if you want to see it. I was told by receptionist that all respiratory letters state doxycycline, that's not true. Yes I've had doxycycline in the past but it's never worked for me, hence amoxicillin. But to then be further insulted by being told that you contacted my previous practice regarding me is underhand to say the least. So no amoxicillin for me, and I am now in the position that I'll have to buy it at a substantial cost of £30. How to impress a new patient !!!
Close down. You cant get an appointment anytime. they say phone at 8.30. Also none. Been like this for years. Absolute joke of a practice. You are keeping us ill and need to close downnnYour reply lies. Nobody can get an appointment ever. When people do the practise is empty haha. Like honestly close down and let other better people do what you do
