Penge Food Center is an absolute gem in Penge! The selection of Turkish food is fantastic, offering everything from fresh produce to authentic Turkish delicacies. The quality is always top-notch, and the prices are very reasonable.A special shoutout to Sima, who works there. He is incredibly helpful and knowledgeable about the products. His friendly demeanor and excellent customer service make shopping here a great experience every time. If you're in the area, I highly recommend stopping by Penge Food Center for all your Turkish food needs!
Upon my visit to PFC Penge Shop, the experience was notably enhanced by the warm and welcoming atmosphere fostered by the staff, particularly Tuncay. From the moment I stepped in, Tuncay's approachable demeanor and eagerness to assist made a significant impression.Customer Service: 5/5 Tuncay exemplifies what it means to be both friendly and helpful. Whether it was offering recommendations from their selection or assisting with specific requests, Tuncay’s attentiveness ensured a seamless and pleasant shopping experience.Product Selection: 4/5 The shop boasts a comprehensive selection of items, catering to a wide range of needs. While I found almost everything I was looking for, a slight expansion in some categories could further enhance their offering.Shop Ambiance: 4/5 The shop presents a clean and organized environment, making shopping both enjoyable and efficient. The well-thought-out layout contributes to a hassle-free experience, though a bit more lighting in certain sections could improve the ambiance even further.Overall Impression: PFC Penge Shop stands out not just for its product range but significantly for the quality of customer service, with Tuncay leading by example. His friendly and helpful nature not only enriches the shopping experience but also establishes a strong rapport with customers, encouraging repeat visits. I would highly recommend a visit to anyone in the area looking for quality products coupled with exceptional service
Male worker didn’t know price of something because it didn’t scan. He guessed the cost and over charged me. When I told him he told me I was wrong and then chased me out of the shop and told me I didn’t pay when I did. I will never come back. Shame because I am Turkish and the shop is local
Without a shed of a doubt, the best, most exciting and interesting shop in Penge. World food at your doorstep, every spice, nuts, polish beer and chilli's gallore you find in there. The broad range of product and the packed selves make difficult to leave. Beans, lentils.. Never end.
Polite and helpful staff, non extortionate prices and great for exotic or rare ingredients
When friends can't find ingredients they want elsewhere I can always find them here! This time looking for ground almonds, successfully located at PFC.
When I was heavily pregnant, my partner and I came into this shop to purchase some shopping after a long day at work, we were very friendly and they were approcable at the start until the atmosphere took a turn for the worst. My husband, whom I adore but is very careless at times, was going through the mangoes and unaware he drops the only £20 we have to pay for are stuff. Not realising we head to the till and as the checkout stuff has a friendly conversation with us one of the staff comes in says oh I found £20 my lucky day. We congrats his and the checkout staff than says £18.57, unaware at the time my husband and I was friend tick and searching for the money. I told him to retrace these steps and the last place he remembers was in the mangoes box, weather gentleman happened to find the money. Feeling very awkward we told the gentlemen we believe that money is ours. This is where the atmosphere got very hostile and they accused us of lying and refused to give it to us back. We were unable to pay for our items I got into a big argument where I called the police for support because they stole our money. The police refuse to help us and said it was a domestic issue and they can't help us. We left that day with no items and 20 pound out of pocket. I refuse to go back into that shop has I believe that these people cannot be trusted, how can they do that to their customers all they had to do was look at the security tapes which I asked them to do to prove our inococence. I pray to God that they never do this to any other person. Especially with the food crisis right now has £20 is a lot of money for people. It was for us.
Best bread I've had in ages, the bottles of olive oil are fantastic, a great selection of herbs & spices in great package sizes. I love this shop, very friendly staff always will to help.
We have been buying meat from the regular butcher, generally on a Saturday for many years. He will always get me meat for the next week, and we often have conversations about the best way to cook it. I now only buy my meat from PFC, it is fresh and good quality, and competitively priced. I also buy many other items in store which have become a stable in my larder, best shop ever to come to Penge. I am so upset. I have been shopping here for years since the store opened. I am a regular customer and often have had pleasant exchanges with the staff. I have just returned a rotten pomegranate £1 29 and simply asked to exchange for another fruit. The manager said he didn't think I had purchased from there, that I had bought somewhere else and was trying falsely to claim I purchased at the store. Incredibly embarrassing, upsetting and out of proportion reaction. After years of shopping here, I will not go back.
