The moron at the train station is really rude. He was racist and homophobic towards me and my partner. I asked for a refund on the ticket all he did was give me the receipt but never gave me back my money and ended up taking my tickets too. Used me being ill as an advantage. He pretended he couldn’t speak English either
Clean, sheltered seating. Bike rack. Trains every 15 mins to Cardiff central. No toilets. Part time manned ticket booth. Limited parking that is free. Departure boards. Wheelchair accessible. Very close to town. Taxi place and newsagent etc yards away. If you are going to penarth do so by train as there is a severe shortage of parking.
It’s a town by the sea side
Lovely day outing over from Cardiff was well rewarded. Short train ride from Cardiff Central and we landed very near several parks and the promenade. The city center had an abundance of local shops and eateries.
The station staff are always helpful when buying tickets not just to Cardiff but all UK destinations and always try to get the cheapest price tickets. Just a pity it seems to be only staffed in the mornings.
