First visit here as our regular takeaway has closed for refurbishment, and a friend had a craving for a vegetarian spring roll. I checked out the reviews and headed to Peking House. I was greeted by a friendly face and the order was done within a few minutes. The chap told me they prepare their own spring rolls daily as its better to fry them with fresh vegetables and not from frozen. I delivered to my friend and her verdict was "delicious!" She was impressed at how crispy and fresh tasting they were, which was sadly not always the case at our regular place which did larger ones, but were sometimes greasy... maybe it works better with a slightly smaller size like these, but I think we'll definitely order more from here in the near future!
FOOD POISONING. This is the only time I’ve ever left a review for a restaurant and that’s because I’ve never been so ill in my life! All I ate this day was toast so there is no way it came from elsewhere. After two hours after finishing the meal I was violently sick 6 times. After ringing the restaurant to try and get my money back for the meal that ended up coming out of me they denied it all even though after checking there food hygiene is 2 so that says it all really - do not recommend
Well that was disappointing! 30 mins late! So cold food! Egg fried rice was horrible, sweet and sour sauce as well! Rest of the dishes had no taste, boring. Think the only thing I liked after spending £60! Was the pineapple fritter!!! Haha Will not be ordering again!
As others have said - some elements the mixed hors d'euves are fine BUT!... the chili beef was completely inedible. Clearly some element had gone off and the whole dish was rank. I called to ask for that element refunded - claimed they couldn't as they'd not had any other complaints - except they have - on here - so don't waste your money on food that is clearly unsafe to eat.
Ordered, food arrived within the time frame! Great! Dished up the food the sweet and sour chicken tasted and smelt awful! Stupidly poured it on my dinner so none of it was edible. Phoned to let them know as I was worried it was off or something ! Got a "oh right" response! Emailed as well no response. Won't be ordering again!
Very reasonably priced and the food is delicious. We had 1/4 duck and it's so meaty. A lot of the time all the meat is quite dry but this was lovely. You have to shred it yourself but it's so worth it. I loved the satay sauce too. The noodles and rice were great - not greasy. Brilliant food - we'll be ordering from her from now on.
I don’t normally do reviews but this food was fantastic and it came on time and with a smile. My only thing was I left a note on the website for them to call my number and do not knock and they never received that so maybe that needs sorting out apart from that perfect
Ordered at the restaurant. Very friendly service, food preparation waiting time excellent and food very tasty. 5 stars all round.
Ordered a takeaway this evening. Arrived in about an hour and food lovely and hot and super tasty. Would definitely recommend.
Omg such bad service phoned and was told just over a hour later. 1 hour and 40 minutes phoned to find out where food is as now we have very Hungary children told 20 minutes as had not started cooking. When I asked if they can make sure it is 20 minutes as waited so long she said she couldn't so we had to cancel our order very disappointed in this service.
