Good Chinese fair served by polite staff. Reasonable prices and good quality. I use only this takeaway for my oriental fix.
Authentic, and very happy to say that the spicy food is actually spicy! A lot of what passes for spicy food in this part if the world is actually far too salty, not just spicy. Also, the sauces don’t smother the meat. Not overly oily either. Our new favourite Chinese restaurant.
Enjoyed food but sadly not my simple request to have half portions of chips and rice separated. Was told it could not be done- no reasonable explanation as to why not. Loud voices exchanged on phone in background when I asked to speak to chef who did not come to phone . Message came back saying they’d do it for an extra £2!!? Obviously not acceptable and once again we got chips covered with rice. Reason for separation of rice from chips was simply that my husband does not eat rice and as result he had to pick rice off his chips! I suggested they put his chips in a paper bag similar to prawn crackers but they would not do this either. So after second experience we will not be ordering anymore from this Chinese Restaurant.
**JUST AWFUL** Have been getting from here for a while now however, it has been going down hill rapidly! Ordered delivery on Sat night £50, as i started taking it out of bag 1st thing i noticed was the chips were terrible, burnt and all little crispy ones....just as if they had scrapped them up from bottom of pan bad chips have been an ongoing thing for a while now...proceeded to set out other dishes and when i got to mixed grill what can i say....!!! I seriously have not seen worse, had family over and we had all just sat down to eat when i noticed my father who had ordered the mixed grill was CHOKING!! After a great ordeal and many back blows later finally managed to dislodge the meat i have never been so scared in my life.....this was truly a horrific experience, leaving everyone well shaken! On closer inspection it was like a pile of old boots covered in gravy. Needless to say all the food went straight to the bin!!

We like going here but every now and then we can tell when there is a different cook and tonight we thought it was nicer than last weekends it would be great if your other cooks could take after night's cook
Thought we would have an easy dinner on a cold snowy night so ordered from here to have a takeaway dilliverd !! It was to arrive at 6: 45 but after a long day at work and very hungry and numerous phone calles from my partner they phoned at 8:15 to say they couldn’t get in the road !!!!! I hate lying so why didn’t they say they weren’t delivering !! Now have to start and make something which I should have done in the first place !!! Won’t be back as there’s plenty of other Chinese carry outs in ballynahinch !!!!
They say that the customer is always right, but clearly Peking Garden missed the Business 101 class where that was taught. We went to this Chinese and ordered around six dishes, paid for our meal, sat in the shop and left when the girl on the front desk stared directly at us and called out our order. When he got home, we found that either half the dishes were wrong, or had simply not been included. Obviously, a simple error and not a big deal, so we rang and asked for them to sort the issue, but the service we received then was atrocious. First we were told we had lifted the wrong order, which seemed unlikely as we were the only people in the Chinese, and then told they would need to make the order. Strange, because surely if our order is there because we had lifted the wrong one, they wouldn’t need to make it. They then tried to tell us that we had to pay for them to deliver the items we had paid for in store to us, which is beyond ridiculous. Won’t be ordering from here again.
