I understand I am responsible for ordering my repeat prescriptions and the chemist requires up to 72 hours to process these.nHowever, when my GP, after a consultation , orders a new prescription to be taken for 4 weeks and and makes an appointment to see me in exactly 4 weeks to review treatment then surely that prescription should be dispensed the same day. 3 days later I call in for the prescription the member of staff isn't even aware the prescription had even been sent.
2021 - I was informed that my rather important prescription was not available in any of the supply warehouses. I was only told this once I'd actually gone in to collect it. I was incredibly stressed and concerned about the prospect of not having what I needed. It was eventually sorted out but not without my pushing for it.n* They also close mid day for lunch but don't advertise this... why would they, its not a public service!nFeb 2024 - after years of trying to appreciate this pharmacy on our door step, the unfriendly, unwelcoming staff, disinterested customer care and the feeling you're always interrupting their day; led me to an online pharmacy who just do their job well. You're welcome.
Very efficient, friendly, helpful staff. They get extremely busy but always try to help you best they can. Saw a lot of negative reviews saying they had to wait to get thier prescriptions, I always ring ahead to let them know I'll be coming & they always give me a time frame in which to collect it & have it ready waiting. Maybe other people should try this as they do get busy as it's the only pharmacy in Wingerworth. People should keep this in mind. Adrian, the senior pharmacist, is a lovely chap who gives you advice on how to take the medication, has always been nothing but friendly, as are all the other staff. I really like the choice of toiletries & are very reasonably priced, most times cheaper than the supermarkets. Also like the kids selection they stock, again reasonably priced. Would highly recommend this pharmacy.
Always closed , I genuinely think pharmacies in general are struggling but on the 4 or 5 times we have tried to get something from here it’s closed , different days and times don’t seem to matter it’s a strange little place, on the one time we did get in the staff seemed friendly.
Small and very busy but efficient and helpful staff. Very close to Dr's surgery and has a big car park. Also handy for amenities such as shopping precinct and has a lollipop lady at peak times so pretty safe for families and kids.
