Had a great tour of the cavern while learning a lot about its history. The group seemed a little large. However, the caverns aren't small. So there was plenty of room for everyone. Would love to come back again, as the entrance carven is also a venue for live shows and events. Brilliant atmosphere.
Really nice tour. Friendly, knowledgeable guides, nice to be involved with an exercise in rope making. A heap of history in the cave, with lots to see as long as you can walk bent double for one thirty yard section!
We went to watch The Slow Readers Club here, absolutely brilliant venue for a gig! The drive there was quite bendy and twisty coming from Macclesfield but the last couple or miles were the most extreme bit, very downhill! There was a carpark that seemed to accommodate everyone and there was off road parking too that people had taken.
Brilliant experience. The tour guide we had Chris was very knowledgeable and funny, easily keeping all guests and there children entertained. Brilliant day out and definitely worth a visit. Some areas were very low but Chris guided us through very well.
It was a great experience, which was also very informative and interesting.nnWe went for a guided tour into the cavern. Warm clothes and good footwear are highly recommended as its very wet inside, and the temperature never goes above 10°c.nnThere are some low parts which you would need to be able to crouch and walk.nnI thought the price was a little high, but I'm glad I did it.
