Loved it! A very popular spot on a Saturday night. Fish was superb, surf and turf was excellent and not at all over priced. Side dishes were the icing on the cake. Simple but effective Dauphinoise potatoes, carrots with wholegrain mustard etc. Had a great bottle of wine - and range of desserts were fab too. A really warm and friendly service to cap it all off. Will definitely come again as we are local.
One of the busiest restaurants in Conwy and I can understand why after going there. Service was really good and presentation of food was good. Salt and lemon flavours were too dominant in the dishes but that might be personal preference issue.
Wow, wow, wow!! What a place. Fantastic food., incredible rare wine, the best atmosphere and their front of house service is perfect. What a find? The best reason to come back to Conwy. Thank you. See you next time.
After reading a very positive review I decided to visit Paysanne. The first opportunity arose when friends were visiting North Wales, so we made a plan to meet for lunch.nThe rather small unpretentious restaurant met all my uneducated expectations of a French bistro.nService was impeccable throughout our visit offering warm upbeat hospitality.nOur food was almost all excellent. Two of us chose a fish based soup that was described as being similar to bouillabaisse. Regrettably, the dish failed to meet expectations. Despite adding all the rouille and the grated cheese, the soup still lacked flavour. This was the only disappointment.nTwo of us chose the guinea fowl which arrived perfectly cooked with moist, tender breast meat and crispy skin on the leg. We shared gorgeous roast potatoes and a selection of perfectly cooked vegetables. The remaining member of our party chose a hake fillet with a cheese topping and he was also very happy with his selection.nFor dessert we went our separate ways. Our choices of a lemon tart, creme brulee and a rum & raisin ice cream were all excellent.nI will be recommending this delightful restaurant to my friends and I urge you to pay a visit.
We had a lovely meal at Paysanne with excellent service. It’s a small restaurant so do book ahead. Our favourite dish was the mushroom starter but everything was very good. We paid £50 per head including tip for 3 courses and a half litre carafe of wine. Will be coming back here
